Married At First Sight’s Ollie Skelton breaks his silence as followers turn on him for ‘moving on quickly’ following split with bride Tahnee Cook

Ollie Skelton has taken to Instagram to respond to the backlash he has received for seemingly moving on too quickly following his recent split from co-star Tahnee Cook.

The TV groom, 28, has faced widespread criticism from fans who claim his new relationship with Nadia came too soon following the end of his TV marriage.

Ollie’s statement, shared via his Instagram stories, comes after his followers expressed their dissatisfaction with how quickly he found new love.

“Hey, I just wanted to say something about this because I’ve gotten it a few times,” he began, explaining that his relationship with Tahnee had actually ended last November, much earlier than public perception was.

The former voice actor expressed a mixture of frustration and resignation when discussing the situation.

“There has been so much attention to our breakup that it may seem fresher, but personally I am far removed from the situation,” Ollie clarified.

Despite the negativity, Ollie spoke highly of his new partner, Nadia, and shared heartfelt sentiments about his feelings towards her.

“As for Nadia, I’ve never felt that way about anyone before. Really,” he admitted.

His post was a mix of personal revelation and a call for understanding, recognizing that “everyone moves at their own pace and everyone’s story is different too.”

Ollie’s message was also about the pressure of being in the public eye and the oddity of having to defend his personal life so publicly.

“It feels so stupid that I even have to write this, it’s not me and I don’t want to encourage the back and forth,” he said.
