Married At First Sight’s Madeleine Maxwell has broken her silence on why she never made it to Sunday night’s explosive reunion.
The psychic medium left fans confused by her absence from the highly anticipated reunion, leaving her ex-husband Ash Galati standing alone in front of the rest of the group.
Speaking to Ny Breaking Australia about the no-show, Madeleine said she simply didn’t ‘fit in’ with Married At First Sight and didn’t want anything to do with the show following her dramatic exit earlier this season.
“I chose not to go to the reunion because I didn’t feel aligned with the production itself,” the former Home and Away actress said cryptically.
“The production itself was something that contradicted what they sell in Australia.”

Ash had previously warned that fans would not see Madeleine during the two-episode reunion special last month during an interview with Ny Breaking Australia.
“I’ll be back alone, which was a blessing in disguise,” Ash admitted, shedding light on his feelings about the unexpected turn of events.
Despite the difficult journey and Madeleine’s sudden disappearance, Ash was relieved at her choice.
“I chose not to go to the reunion because I didn’t feel aligned with the production itself,” she cryptically told Ny Breaking Australia, adding: “The production itself was something that contradicted what they sell in Australia.” (Pictured with husband Ash Galati)
‘I expected her to come back. I followed things to the end. I had a duty to come back to myself, to the show, to the other couples. So I did the right thing and showed up. But she didn’t.’
The mystery deepens when Ash admits, “As far as I know, no one has heard from her.”
“As soon as I left the experiment, I blocked her number. But if she wanted to, she could reach out, but she’s probably forgotten about me.”

The couple failed to bond and their ill-fated marriage reached a breaking point after a dramatic honeymoon during which they struggled to get to know each other.
In scenes from their honeymoon, Madeleine burst into tears when she saw a herd of cows and told Ash that she had been contacted by ‘spirits’ during their dinner, leaving her groom confused.
Ash has now revealed even more ‘wild’ moments from their honeymoon that didn’t make it into the film, as he gave a candid insight into his MAFS journey.
“I’m coming back alone, which was a blessing in disguise,” Galati admitted, shedding light on his feelings about the unexpected turn of events.
Ash described their honeymoon as ‘traumatic, chaotic and crazy’ as he claimed Madeleine didn’t try to get involved or get to know him.
“She accused me of being a police officer. I’m surprised I wasn’t shown,” he told Ny Breaking Australia.
“She says, ‘You’re a cop, you’re trying to interrogate me,’ and I say, ‘No, I’m not trying to interrogate you. I’m trying to get to know you. There’s a difference.” But she just took whatever looked like her. Whenever anyone asked questions about being a psychic or a medium, she was super defensive, as were other couples at our wedding.”

He claimed there was only ‘dead silence’ when the cameras weren’t there as he reflected on his struggle to further his bond with former Home And Away star Madeleine.
Ash admitted that he started to doubt their connection the morning after the wedding, but decided to go ahead with the experiment after getting advice from the other couples who overcame their early problems.
“She was just really quiet the morning after the wedding. She was on the phone with her friends a lot, but we didn’t talk at all, and as soon as we got on the mic and then the camera crew was there, it was over the top, and she kept of me, and I’m the funniest man in the world.’
