Despite their initial differences, Katina and Olajuwon’s relationship survived and the couple officially became engaged during the show’s reunion episode.
Dickerson told his wife that she embodied his life credo: “Work hard today, focus on tomorrow and the rest is history.”
“You taught me that patience and effort are the keys to a happy life and a happy marriage. Katina, I couldn’t be happier to call you my wife, and I mean it.’
“I hope you accept this,” he said, dropping to one knee and offering his wife the “big ass” engagement ring. “Now you know your husband, and you are confident to continue this journey with me.”

“To my husband,” she gushed. ‘This has been quite an adventure. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us. Thank you for growing with me, building with me and loving me.’
“I’m so proud of the man you keep trying to be,” she continued. “Thank you for not giving up on us and showing up in this marriage every day. I love you.’
