Tori was furious that Cassandra was not at the “top of the food chain” on the show and berated the administrative assistant for arguing with her in shock scenes.

Tori spoke to the camera behind Cassandra’s back and said, “Small bites, baby, don’t come for the top. There’s a goddamn food chain here and you’re not at the top. Quiet.’

Cassandra has now broken her silence on the now infamous comment, admitting she had no idea she had made Tori so angry until she watched the scenes.

She said Nine: “I’m very grateful for everyone’s kindness and support, but I think Tori only lashed out because she felt hurt.”

“I didn’t see her private conversations until later so I really wasn’t aware that I (Tori) had gotten so angry,” she added.

Cassandra also admitted that it was ‘unnecessary’ for Tori to call her partner Tristan Black a ‘s***ty husband’ during her tirade, when he wasn’t even involved in the tension.

Cassandra said of the comment: “That was so unnecessary, I was really not impressed and of course Tristan is nothing but amazing.”

However, she insisted that she has no “anger or animosity” towards Tori after the tension and that she has “great respect” for her.

“That was one of the few times I disagreed with her behavior in the group,” Cassandra explained.

Tori, 27, fumed that Cassandra, 29, wasn’t at the ‘top of the food chain’ in a now-infamous comment when the administration official sided with Timothy Smith during a tense argument

After the scenes aired, Cassandra broke her silence on the now infamous comment, admitting that she had no idea she had angered Tori in such a way.

“I don’t think she’s a bad person. I just think she’s on her own journey and I’m on mine.”

Cassandra said she didn’t speak to Tori after the dinner and they didn’t see each other again until the next commitment ceremony, which airs on Sunday.

Tori came under fire from fans for her ‘food chain’ comment, as viewers branded it ‘shameful’ and ‘classless’.

Fans quickly took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to mock Tori for the “immature” comment while comparing her to a high school student.

Comparing her to infamous Mean Girls character Regina George, one fan said: “Tori thinking she’s at the top of the food chain at 28 is proof she peaked in high school.”

Another wrote, “I just love how cool and fearless Cassandra was when Tori was ranting about being at the top of the food chain,” definitely not phased in the least. She didn’t have to do much, she just let Tori embarrass her…

Cassandra also admitted it was ‘unnecessary’ for Tori to call her partner Tristan Black (pictured) a ‘s***ty husband’ during her tirade, when he wasn’t even involved in the tension.

However, Cassandra insisted that following the tension, she has no “anger or animosity” towards Tori and has “great respect” for her.

“Tori is actually disgusted by that comment about the food chain!! #MAFS #MAFSAU no wonder her and Jack are still disgusting people together,” a third tweeted.

One compared her to ejected groom Collins as they joked, “In the MAFS food chain, I’d put Tori somewhere between Collins and the salad.”

A fifth said: ‘I’m waiting for Tori to let me know why she thinks she’s at the top of the food chain. Is it the fact that her husband wears pants two sizes too small, is he manipulative, or is he not attracted to her?

“Tori saying there’s a ‘food chain’ there is so embarrassing… and her thinking she’s at the top is even more embarrassing…” said another.

“Tori is still immature with comments about the ‘food chain,'” someone argued.

‘You have Tori of zero class. Honestly at the top of the food chain. You have completed high school. Maybe not ready yet…but yeah,” another added.

Tori was angry at the way Cassandra had sided with Timothy after she accused him of looking ‘smug’ following his blazing fight with Jayden Eynaud.

Tim had become involved in an argument with Jayden, who had criticized his relationship with Lucinda Light and accused him of not making an effort.

Seething Tim, 51, said he didn’t want advice from a 27-year-old and angrily punched the table, furious that Jayden had ‘nothing in life’.

Tori was furious about his comments towards Jayden and then accused Tim of looking ‘smug’ as he chatted calmly to the other couples after the fiery blast.

But Cassandra sided with Tim and insisted he did nothing to provoke Tori’s outburst, accusing her of trying to stir up more drama.

Married At First Sight continues on Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
