MAFS Australia: Natalie Parham reveals she’s dating a woman after failed relationship with Collins Christian

Natalie Parham has found love after her short stint on Married At First Sight.

The 32-year-old is now happily in a relationship with a woman – a close friend who has known Natalie for some time – after her ‘marriage’ to Collins Christian imploded on TV.

“I spoke to someone special,” she told Channel Nine.

‘We have known each other for years. We met when she got married and I was in a long-term relationship.’

The physiotherapist said her partner had been ‘incredibly’ supportive after she quit Nine’s social experiment.

“I’ve never dated a woman; I was attracted to them, but I was never able to take the step of dating,” she added.

‘They have been an incredible support to me since I left the experiment. Even if it turns into a nice friendship, we’ll just see what happens.’

In February, Natalie broke her silence shortly after leaving the experiment.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the brunette opened up about the grim reality of her doomed partnership with Collins – and the moment that led her to leave her ‘marriage’ behind.

Collins’s apparent lack of appeal was a key factor in her decision.

“There was no connection,” she stated bluntly.

“I wasn’t Blake Lively enough for him,” Natalie revealed, as she watched his audition tape, where he revealed the Hollywood actress was his “dream girl.”

Collins and Natalie quickly left the program, returning home less than two days after the first commitment ceremony was filmed.

Sources close to production told Daily Mail Australia that Natalie was struggling immensely during filming and was missing her family.

“Natalie was homesick after losing her dad and just wanted to get away,” an insider revealed.

‘Collins was only trying her best and Natalie couldn’t handle it.

“Nat finally reached boiling point and production agreed to let her go home.”

According to the spy, the pair ended on “bad terms” and things don’t get much better at the reunion as they argue on camera.

“Collins is still spiteful and continues to blame her for robbing him of his opportunities,” the source said.

‘It got very annoying very quickly and they both went their separate ways.

‘Collins didn’t even want to be friends with Natalie after that, it’s really sh***y.’

According to friends, Natalie always felt like Collins was putting on a performance for the cameras and was a completely different person when the cameras weren’t rolling.

The decision to have Natalie leave came despite Collins’ choice to remain on the show.

The guidelines and overall concept of the show take a back seat when a contestant’s mental health or well-being is at stake.

Natalie had previously expressed a desire to leave during the first dinner, but was persuaded to stay at least until the next commitment ceremony to fulfill her role in the show’s story.

However, when it became clear that she would have to stay another week, production management intervened.

It was noted that participating in the show is inherently challenging, but given Natalie’s recent personal loss and her emotional state, continuing with the show would have been unreasonable.
