Married At First Sight star Beck Zemek reveals she has suffered a miscarriage in heartbreaking post – just two weeks after her baby shower
Married At First Sight star Rebecca Zemek suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with her second child.
The Perth-based influencer, 31, shared a clip on Instagram telling her 99,000 followers that she and her fiancé Ben Michell had lost the baby.
‘I can’t put my words and thoughts together, so I just write them down. During a routine check-up, I suffered a silent miscarriage in my second trimester,” Beck began.
‘The next few moments were surreal. The baby had stopped growing, but my body hadn’t noticed yet. Decisions had to be made. Decisions that no one prepares you for. Decisions that make the whole thing feel painfully real.’
Beck said the mother’s body continues to prepare for birth even after the fetus has lost viability.
‘Your belly is still round, your hormones still remind you of pregnancy, and yet you have to mentally accept that life is over.

‘I was trapped in a limbo. No longer pregnant, but not ready to say goodbye yet. It’s a sadness like no other, but what I’ve come to realize is that the love I felt for that little life is real, no matter how short it was.
“We’re just going to try to heal, work through this and move on.”
She thanked her family and friends for their support during the difficult time, just two weeks after she and Ben hosted a baby shower in Perth to celebrate her pregnancy.
The event saw a host of reality stars gather to celebrate the happy news, including Beck’s MAFS co-star Booka Nile and My Kitchen Rules alum Hannah Campbell.
Many of Beck’s MAFS friends quickly took to the comments section to express their messages of support.
‘I’m so sorry. Sending you so much love,” Alisha Aitken-Radburn wrote.
“Sorry angel. I love you,” Sara Mesa added.
“I’m so proud of you for speaking out about this publicly. Your pain is someone else’s healing and we with platforms need to use our voices. I love you and am so proud to call you my friend. You got this baby,” Lauren Dunn interjected.

The tragic news came just two weeks after Beck and Ben hosted a star-studded baby shower in Perth to celebrate the pregnancy: pictured with their two-year-old daughter Immy
Beck rose to fame on MAFS in 2021, where she was unsuccessfully paired with Jake Edwards.
Their union failed after she cheated on him with her ex-boyfriend during filming.
Beck and Ben welcomed their first daughter, Immy, in May 2022.
Shortly after giving birth, Beck said she didn’t try to lose weight right away.
She said during an Instagram Q&A that new moms “need to stop putting pressure on your body to do more than it just did.”
Beck then referenced four photos she posted earlier in the day of her postpartum body, one to four weeks after giving birth.
“The pictures you saw were pictures of my uterus collapsing, not of me losing weight,” she added.
