Married At First Sight 2024: Awkward moment Lucinda Light’s dad gives her groom Timothy awkward bedroom advice to spice up the couple’s sex life after trainwreck commitment ceremony
Married At First Sight’s Timothy Smith was questioned by Lucinda Light’s father Michael on Monday for getting ‘too pissed’ on Monday after the dramatic commitment ceremony.
Tim, 51, and Lucinda, 43, have had a tough few days after the groom felt ‘blindsided’ by his partner when she brought up not feeling ‘wanted’ at Sunday’s commitment ceremony.
Things were very tense between the pair as they headed to see their loved ones, with Tim insisting he planned to be ‘brutally honest’ about their difficulties as they clashed on the way to the meeting.
The couple told Lucinda’s parents Michael and Susan and Tim’s friends Rachelle and Brett about their fight during the commitment ceremony, which saw them wake up in separate apartments that morning.
Lucinda’s father Michael was unimpressed after hearing Tim talk about how angry he was about the situation, and took him for a private chat where he grilled the groom.

He accused Tim of being ‘too pissed off’ and living in the past as he urged him to let the argument go, before awkwardly advising him to have a ‘one night stand’ with Lucinda.
While Lucinda broke down in tears when Tim angrily said he was “more out than in” in their relationship, Michael responded, “Sometimes I feel like you get a little too irritated.”
Michael pulled him in for a one-on-one chat, accused Tim of not having ‘respect’ for Lucinda and said it was a ‘cop-out’ to say he got ‘p**sed’ easily.
“I think one of the most important things is respect for other people, and I don’t think you have a lot of respect for Lucy,” he said.
Tim insisted he respects her but only gets angry, prompting Michael to say, “That’s a cop-out, I’m sorry.” Do you think it’s time to stop being irritated so easily?’

Tim replied: “It’s a tough one, for me it’s a tough one” when Michael asked him if it was time to try to change his habits.
Michael fumed: “Wow, you’re a brick, aren’t you? You are a wall, you can’t step out of that wall, right?
‘It’s boring! I get pissed listening to that. As far as I’m concerned, you shouldn’t get confused every now and then and pull your finger out.’
Despite his harsh words, Tim saw the funny side and laughed at the tough love. He told the camera: “He made me laugh and when I laugh I put my walls down.”
“She’s trying so hard, and I don’t know if you are or not. There’s a time frame on this show and you can’t hang around,” Michael said.
“You have a lovely lady who is attracted to you, and you might need to try a little harder.”

Regarding Michael’s opinion, Tim admitted on camera: ‘Yes, he thinks I’m out of the loop and it’s really hard to hear. I know I’m not easy, I feel like (Lucinda) could have gotten someone easier.”
“It takes a special kind of person to want me around, so I know how special she is,” he added.
Michael asked Tim, “No one is perfect, we all have our flaws, but are you going to try with Lucinda?”
Tim insisted he would have a ‘good chat’ with Lucinda that day after tension between the pair reached boiling point in recent episodes.
Due to his ‘slow-burn’ attitude, Michael then awkwardly urged Tim to try to be more intimate with his daughter Lucinda, even suggesting a ‘one night stand’.

‘It’s not my place to tell you what to do, but we’d like to see some more action on your part. It could be a one night stand, it could be anything, just try it,” he said.
To clarify his comment, the producers asked him, “Did you say I wanted to have a one-night stand with my daughter?”
To which Michael doubled down as he said, “Well, he should! Great advice for a father to give to a potential anything.”
Laughing, Tim said: ‘Where are you going with that? Where are you going?’
However, Michael’s tough love got through to Tim as he insisted he realized he had been wrong and apologized to Lucinda as they tried to take steps forward.
‘The conversation with Michael made me realize that I have been a bit of a advertising headline. Lucinda deserves more, I need to let go of the anger and move on,” he said.
Michael’s tough love attitude seemed to have rubbed off on Tim as he went back to the table and apologized, admitting on camera that he had been an ‘asshole’.
The scenes came after Tim was left fuming when Lucinda brought up how she didn’t feel ‘wanted’ by Tim at Sunday’s commitment ceremony.
Despite thinking they had had a good few days, Lucinda agreed with the experts when they described the bond as a ‘close friendship’ as they discussed their intimacy hurdle.
Tim told Lucinda not to talk to him as he felt ‘blindsided’ by her comments and emphasized that they should have been a team as he was also angry that everyone in the room had sided with his bride.
