Married At First Sight bride breaks down as she reveals secret heartbreak after high school sweetheart was killed before her mother’s tragic death

A Married At First Sight bride has revealed the secret heartbreak that stopped her from finding love.

Cassandra Allen admitted on Monday during the debut episode of the 2024 season that she was about to marry her high school sweetheart when he was tragically murdered.

‘We were together for eight years. And then, one day, he was gone. Motorcycle accident,” she said, breaking into tears.

“That was really, really hard… you spend every day with someone…” She trailed off and collapsed.

The couple had been together since the age of 14 and planned a future together, with Cass calling him ‘The One’.

“We definitely would have gotten married, had kids, crazy matching shirts, vacations, he was… yeah,” she cried.

‘After that I was blocked for almost three or four years. I sat in a very dark room for a long time, I felt nothing.

“But I know I’m so ready. I am ready to receive love, to give love, to be in love. It took a long time, but I’m here.’

Further tragedy struck in 2020 when Cassandra lost her mother to cancer.
