A married former substitute teacher in Oklahoma, who is also believed to be the daughter of the city’s mayor, has been accused of kissing and sending nude photos to a 15-year-old student.
According to the criminal statement, 26-year-old Emma Delaney Hancock, a former teacher in the Wellston Public School district, began texting the 15-year-old in October 2022 to send him a school assignment.
After a few weeks, the teen sent a shirtless photo of herself to Hancock via Snapchat, documents say.
Hancock replied, “are we sending half-naked pictures now?” the teen replied, “I don’t know, do I?” she then reportedly replied, “Are you trying to make me lose my job?” say the documents.

The affidavit then said that Hancock and the teen began exchanging nude photos and videos of sexual acts more frequently.
Which later escalated into Hancock and the teen kissing twice while in classrooms.
Hancock is also accused of touching the teen inappropriately during the second time they kissed, the court said.
Hancock is married to the city’s police chief, Alfred Hancock, and is believed to be the daughter of Wellston mayor Paul Whitnah.
The educator faces two charges of solicitation of sexual conduct or communication with a minor through technology and two charges of lewd or indecent acts with a child under the age of 16.
Dougherty said that given Hancock’s relationship with the Wellston police chief (right), the Oklahoma State Bureau (OSBI) was asked to step in to conduct the investigation into the case to avoid conflict.

The affidavit also said that at one point the 15-year-old told his friend about the relationship with Hancock.
When the other student asked Hancock if this was true, she initially denied it, but then admitted it was true, according to the affidavit.

Hancock’s relationship with the teen is said to have escalated as the two kissed twice while in Wellston High School classrooms.
She allegedly told the student it would “do nothing because they wouldn’t get caught.”
Residents in Wellston told News 9 that Hancock is the daughter of Mayor Paul Whitnah. DailyMail.com has reached out to Whitnah and the police chief for comment, but did not immediately receive a response to the request.
Wellston Public Schools superintendent Mike Franz told the outlet that as soon as the district learned of the allegations in November, Hancock was removed from the call list and banned from campus.
The district notified authorities and cooperated with the investigation, Franz said.
