Married female teacher, 36, is charged with sexual assault after ‘having affair with student’ in New Jersey – just days after another instructor’s arrest for ‘same crime with special needs child’

A married female teacher has been charged with sexual assault after alleging she had sexual relations with a student in New Jersey.

Julie Rizzitello, 36, is accused of performing “various sexual acts” with the student on “multiple occasions and in at least three jurisdictions — Belmar, Brick and Wall” — throughout the year.

Rizzitello, who married her husband in 2017, was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of witness tampering.

Rizzitello resigned from Wall Township High School earlier this week following the allegations.

The former English teacher is currently in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, where she awaits a detention hearing.

The alleged relationship between Rizzitello and the student is said to have begun earlier this year.

Prosecutors say she performed sexual acts with them on multiple occasions and in three different municipalities.

She has since been charged in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Rizzitello was reportedly an English teacher who worked for the Wall Township School District for 10 years.

She is accused of performing “various sexual acts” with the student on “multiple occasions and in at least three jurisdictions – Belmar, Brick and Wall” over the course of the year.

This comes after special education teacher Allison Havemann-Niedrach was arrested in New Jersey for allegedly sexually harassing one of her students.

She also served as an advisor to several clubs in the area. It is unclear whether the victim was a student or a member of the club.

Her profile on the school district’s website was removed Thursday, but an archived copy of the webpage was still available.

She is awaiting a court hearing in Monmouth County Superior Court, where she will face the charges.

The case comes after a New Jersey special education teacher, who describes herself online as a “passionate” educator, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing one of her students.

Allison Havemann-Niedrach, 43, a special education teacher at Freehold Intermediate School in New Jersey, has been arrested, prosecutors announced June 29.

Her arrest followed an investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Freehold Police Department that revealed she sexually assaulted a college student earlier this year.

It is unclear how many times she allegedly assaulted the student or how old the student was, but the high school only offers classes for students in grades six through eight.

Havemann-Niedrach is now charged with first-degree aggravated sexual assault and second-degree endangering child protection. She was seen smiling in her arrest photo.
