Married Democrat who touts himself as ‘just a regular guy’ exposed for ‘adult friend finder’ dating site account

A married Democrat in a close battle for Congress in Michigan is in trouble after it was discovered his email address was used to sign up for an adult dating and casual sex site.

Curtis Hertel, a Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 7th Congressional District, signed up for the steamy Adult Friend Finder during his wedding, DailyMail.com has learned.

Records show that his email address was discovered among those who signed up for the dating and sex site. The email came to light as a result of a 2016 data breach that compromised the information of more than 400 million users.

Despite his involvement with the sex site, he claims in a recent ad that “I’m just an ordinary guy” who does odd jobs around the house, “drinks beer and smokes meat.”

The records show that in 2007, Hertel used his personal email address to sign up for the account with the dirty username “Skumdogs.”

DailyMail.com has reviewed evidence showing that Hertel deleted his account in 2007 after being active for a week before his wedding in 2010.

Curtis Hertel and his wife Elizabeth Hertel. The couple married in 2010, four years before the Democrat last accessed his AdultFriendFinders.com account.

However, records obtained after the 2016 data breach show that he may have last accessed it in 2014, years after his 2010 marriage to his wife Elizabeth Hertel.

The “last visit” timestamp is not always accurate, as closed accounts may still be searchable.

Yet the conflicting stories do not deny that Hertel participates in “the largest sex and swinger advertising community in the world.”

“Candidates are pretty full of themselves,” Hertel says in a commercial for his campaign. “Me, I’m just an ordinary guy.”

“I coach my son’s basketball team. “I mow my own lawn and like to drink beer and smoke meat,” he says.

However, his “regular guy” persona may not paint a full picture of the candidate who has taken steps in the past to set up an account for an extramarital affair.

Hertel’s campaign did not comment on the account to DailyMail.com.

‘Hertel2002@hotmail.com’, an account linked to Hertel, was found among the emails used to register for AdultFriendFinder.com

The email linked to Hertel, ‘Hertel2002@hotmail.com’, has been linked to the Democrat on various sites.

Obviously he has that email mentioned as his contact on a Democratic site called BlueVoterGuide.org.

The scandal comes as Hertel is in a close race to replace Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who is currently running for the U.S. Senate in Michigan.

His GOP opponent, Tom Barrett, ran against Slotkin in 2022 and lost by eight points.

But this lap of the race is much tighter.

The race for Michigan’s 7th District has been identified by the National Republican Congressional Committee as one of the most promising races to flip this cycle.

As a result, Barrett is one of the few Republicans to receive campaign financing from the organization.

Other candidates have also come under scrutiny this election cycle for their accounts on adult sites.

Democratic candidate for Nebraska’s U.S. Senate seat, Dan Osborn, 49, denied allegations that he was exposed for being part of Ashley Madison, despite being married for 22 years to his wife Megan, with whom he shares three children.

An email address directly linked to Osborn was used to sign up for the infamous affair website Ashley Madison, DailyMail.com discovered.

The dating website is known for facilitating extramarital relationships. It was founded in 2001 with the slogan ‘life is short, have an affair’, with more than 37 million unfaithful spouses taking the bait.

His campaign denied that Osborn ever “used Ashley Madison.” But the candidate had access to the email – a “shared company account” that “several people” were using.

Osborn, a Catholic, is also dealing with other rumored scandals.

He had access to a Twitter account where he was previously found to be into explicit gay porn and photos of naked girls on X, according to screenshots obtained by DailyMail.com.

Osborn’s campaign also denied that he “liked” gay porn on Twitter, now X, between 2020 and 2021.

But they confirmed that Osborn had access to the “BCTGM 50G Union President” account, along with “several people.”

Similarly, North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson made a series of crude and disturbing comments on the pornographic forum Nude Africa, where he called himself a “perv” and “black Nazi,” a fucking Nazi. CNN report unveiled in September.

Robinson, who is still voting in North Carolina, denied the reports, claiming they are all “outright lies” or just “half-truths.”

CNN’s investigation revealed that Robinson posted several disturbing comments on the pornographic website Nude Africa.

This included expressing support for the restoration of slavery and writing, without prompting, “I’m a black NAZI!”

By posting to the forum, Robinson also exposed unfiltered thoughts on issues of race, gender and abortion.

In October 2010, Robinson wrote: “Slavery is not bad. Some people must be slaves. I wish they would bring back slavery. I would definitely buy some.”

Many called on Robinson to abandon the race after the report.
