Susie Bradley and Todd Carney got engaged for the second time this weekend, and this time the Married At First Sight star insists the couple will make it down the aisle.
The couple called off their first engagement in 2022 as the rugby star, 37, battled alcohol addiction. They reconciled in May last year and Todd has now been sober for 14 months.
The former reality TV star, 31, told Ny Breaking Australia they plan to tie the knot within six months.
‘We always loved each other. We didn’t love each other. It was just the circumstances of life,” Susie said of their first engagement and subsequent breakup.
‘I knew we both wanted to get married someday.

“I thought it was just a matter of time, but since we’ve obviously been through it all before, I didn’t feel like we were in a rush. It just felt good. That’s what Todd said. He said he felt the time was right.”
She went on to say that she discussed her second engagement with her mother-in-law Leanne Carney and told her, “This is what it’s supposed to feel like. It feels good.’
“We’re going to have a short engagement and probably get married pretty soon… Probably a six to 12 month window. It’s going to be fantastic.’

The couple, who share son Lion, three, are also making plans to welcome more children into their happy family.
‘We want two more babies. So hopefully that will all work out. We are busy people. We like to entertain ourselves,” Susie said.
Susie started dating Todd in 2019, a year after appearing on Married At First Australia, with Todd happily taking on the role of stepdad to Susie’s daughter Baby.

They announced their engagement in December 2020, shortly before confirming that Susie was also pregnant with their first child together.
They welcomed son Lion in April 2021, but later called off their engagement in 2022 after Todd struggled to battle his alcohol addiction.
After Susie and Todd split in 2022, the beautician vowed never to date again.
The lovebirds reconciled in May last year.
Meanwhile, it looks like the cosmetic injector is already preparing for another birth, as she recently developed a new pelvic floor training device VTone.
She explained that she has been struggling with pregnancy incontinence since she gave birth to Baby at the age of 21.
The beautician said she was jumping on a trampoline three months after welcoming Baby when she lost complete control of her bladder.
‘It really felt like I had lost the entire contents of my stomach. I just immediately felt the moisture. “I couldn’t tell anyone,” she said.
‘I was there with my partner and best friend. I didn’t even tell my best friend because I just couldn’t believe it. I went straight to the bathroom.
“I think I got some toilet paper underwear or something. I didn’t want to tell anyone. I felt so ashamed. I was shocked and appalled.”
‘We always loved each other. We didn’t love each other. It was just the circumstances of life,” Susie said of their first engagement and subsequent breakup, but added that she has hope for her relationship after reconciling with Todd.
Since then, Susie said she has suffered from a chronic and frequent urge to urinate because her pelvic floor was severely weakened by childbirth.
She says pelvic floor trainer VTone and FormaV helped alleviate her incontinence problems by using “electrical muscle stimulation and deep tissue heating to rehabilitate weak pelvic floor muscles.”
Since reconciling with Todd, Susie has remained clean and sober after years of booze-fuelled scandals that ended his NRL career prematurely.
Susie also revealed that she and Todd are planning to welcome even more children into their happy family. ‘We want two more babies. So hopefully that will all work out. We are busy people. We like to keep ourselves busy,” she said
His football career was riddled with controversies, including being charged with drink driving and reckless driving, allegedly urinating on a man in a nightclub, vandalism, being sacked by the Raiders and being banished from his home town of Goulburn, NSW.
That led to him being deregistered by the NRL and forced to play bushfooty with Atherton Roosters in far north Queensland, before being kicked out of the NRL for good after a series of alcohol-related indiscretions, including the infamous bubbler that saw him fake urinating in his own mouth.
His new life with Susie was exactly what Todd needed, until he realized he was still on a very dark path.
“My life was going fine, or so I thought, until our relationship got really serious,” he said Triple M’s Rush Hour with Gus, Jude and Dell last week.
‘My wife became pregnant with our son Lion and her love for me would of course always remain the same. But she said, ‘Before you bring a boy into this life and into this world, I can’t imagine you continuing to hurt yourself.’
“And she was honest with me. She said: ‘You think you’re a rock star, but you’re not. Yeah, I didn’t know you when you played rugby league and I don’t really care.’ Then we broke up for a while, and that was a hard time because [of] my values growing up.
“When people said, ‘Oh, if you want children, what do you want to be like?’ I said, ‘I want to be like my father.’ So I lost that value because I wasn’t with my son 100 percent of the time.
“And at that time, the next week, I got along really well with him. Whenever I had a week off, I lived like a rock star and didn’t care about myself or who I was.”
Todd had been to rehab and alcohol therapy before, but this time he went of his own accord and was determined to make it work for the sake of his young family.
