Married At First Sight’s Melinda Willis Reveals What She Really Thinks About Her Villain Edit — And Why She’s Refusing To Watch Her Wedding
Married At First Sight bride Melinda Willis revealed this week that she was deeply upset after seeing her “rogue edit” on the series.
The beauty entrepreneur, 33, hosted a Q&A with her Instagram fans and answered a firm ‘no’ when asked if she felt the show portrayed her correctly.
“I was like, ‘Holy s**t, I’m the bad guy. How am I the bad guy?’ I went crazy and I started to prepare myself,” she told her fans.
There were thousands of hate comments on Twitter. You wanted me off this earth, it was not pleasant. Being such a nice, sincere person, it touched my heart and soul.”
The blonde beauty was criticized for some comments she made about her TV husband Layton Mills, who she says “stood above his weight” by dating her, and she also said she would “swipe” at him on a dating- app.

Melinda then told her fans that she was so hurt by her portrayal that she had to take a day off from work so she could stay home and recover mentally.
“It was hard to get it together because secretly I was crib. This is how violent comments can really touch someone.
The Brisbane native added that she has particularly bad memories of her on-screen marriage to Layton, 36, and refuses to ever watch it again.

“I was really looking forward to that very special video. But it wasn’t special and I never want to see it again.
“That’s what touched me the most. I was pretty hysterical and I can’t watch this again. This makes me feel sick and I didn’t feel like looking at it.”
Although Melinda and Layton’s relationship had its share of challenges, they managed to work through them and are still together.

Earlier this month, she told her fans that maintaining a long-distance relationship with Layton from Sydney was difficult.
“It can be hard sometimes, especially when we’re fighting and can’t be physically there to comfort each other,” she explained.
In order for their relationship to blossom, the pair have been planning “special trips” over the past few months to see each other.
Despite these hurdles, Melinda remains confident about her future with Layton and they have hinted that one of them will move out permanently so they can live together.
