Married At First Sight groom Jesse Burford kickstarted the rumor mill when he shared a shared gallery of the beloved Janelle Han on his Instagram.
Now the 31-year-old wedding celebrant has revealed the truth about his relationship with his co-star.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Jesse laughed at recent reports that the pair are dating, confirming “we’re just friends.”
“The strongest bond I’ve made with anyone in the cast is hands down Janelle,” he added.
‘We’ve been through the same thing [being cheated on] and we’re both from the same city,” he added.

Jesse said he felt friendless and “isolated” while filming the show, but things had changed since production wrapped in December.
“I didn’t have a best friend,” he confessed.
“I felt completely isolated… Like Ollie and Rupert [Bugden] were so tight. I was so jealous of their friendship.’
“The strongest bond I’ve made with anyone in the cast is hands down Janelle,” he added
He said the only person he felt any connection to in the experiment was Janelle, followed by Cameron Woods, Harrison Boon and Duncan James.
“I felt like Claire [his partner] very much enjoyed her own space and that I wasn’t in it. I felt like I didn’t have a best friend on MAFS.
“My best friend, who was supposed to be my wife, kissed another guy and then didn’t honor my request to leave, and made me stay damned and go through a redemption arc for her.”
He said the only person he felt any connection to in the experiment was Janelle, followed by Cameron Woods, Harrison Boon and Duncan James.

While Janelle has admitted that she and Jesse kissed, they did not explore their relationship further as she moved from Perth to Sydney and he still lives in Western Australia.
“There was a time before I left for Sydney when me and Jesse hung out a lot, it was at the height when the cheating scandal came out and possibly [it was] a trauma bond, but we grew really close and we shared a cock,” she said.
The podcast hosts asked Janelle exactly what kind of kiss it was and if anything else happened, but the MAFS bride said there was “no tongue.”
“There was a period when we definitely liked each other. I was drunk one night and I told him I had a secret crush on him,” she explained.
“But he’s been pretty vocal about me being his type too, so it wasn’t weird territory,” Janelle added.
