Ella Ding faced a wave of criticism after welcoming a puppy to her family.
The former Married At First Sight star introduced her Merle Pomeranian named Yuki on Instagram this week.
The influencer, 29, and her boyfriend Guy Palmero happily showed off the pup online, but faced concerns from fans who were upset that she bought a dog from a breeder instead of adopting from a shelter.
“Damn I feel like she didn't buy adopted,” one person wrote in the comments below a video of the pet.
“Oh honey, I don't even need to read the comments. Why did you do this? Thousands of dogs need homes,” said another.

'Breeding a dog to look a certain way has health consequences. Disappointing about the platform you don't have to promote salvation,” another person wrote.
“Girl, why the fuck would you pay that much for a dog when there are MILLIONS of dogs that need homes…” #adoptdontshop,” another complained.
“Oh dear. There are so many rescue dogs that need homes. It's so sad to see you buy it from a breeder even if it comes from a good home and not a puppy farm…hopefully' someone else commented.
'Every day, thousands of dogs are killed in shelters because people choose to buy from a breeder rather than adopt. Awful. please educate yourself,” another person wrote.

Others defended the MAFS bride, with one fan writing: 'Anyone who says “she should have gotten help” just sit down! She can buy a puppy if she wants. She is not required to get a rescue dog.”
“She's cute, if you don't like the fact that she bought a puppy. Leave your negative comments for yourself or keep scrolling! She will be loved, that's all that matters!' yet one more said.
Ella also defended herself in the comments, replying to a follower who defended her.
'Anyone who goes on and on about MERLES: It's fine to breed Merle, as long as the breeder knows how to do it. A serious breeder knows not to mix two Merles together. Otherwise it's fine and there are no health problems!' they said.
Ella replied to that comment and simply wrote “correct.”
Despite the criticism, the former MAFS star has already set up an Instagram account for the puppy.
The couple also introduced Yuki to their two cats, who seemed unimpressed with the pup.
