EXCLUSIVE: Married At First Sight’s Daniel Holmes Arrested Driving With Suspended License After Moving To Sydney: ‘It Was My Own Dumb Mistake’
Daniel Holmes of Married At First Sight was arrested driving a motor vehicle while his license was already suspended on July 5 in Sydney.
He was due to appear in Sydney Downing Center Local Court on August 11, but failed to appear after having moved to Brisbane following his split with Carolina Santos.
The court then barred Daniel from holding a driver’s license for six months beginning August 11 and ordered him to pay a $440 fine.
Holmes told Daily Mail Australia it was a “silly mistake”.

“I lost points driving in Queensland just before going to Married At First Sight, which led to my license being suspended for six months,” Holmes explained.
“After MAFS I moved to Sydney, became complacent about the suspension, decided to go to the movies with Carolina one night and got pulled over, which was my own dumb mistake which led to another six month suspension.”
Holmes and Carolina announced their separation on August 8, after weeks of breakup rumors.
He was the first to confirm the news, telling his Instagram followers: “I think it’s been obvious for a while that we’ve gone our separate ways.”
The 31-year-old lost his Queensland license earlier this year before moving to Sydney to live with now-ex-girlfriend Carolina Santos. Holmes told Daily Mail Australia it was a ‘dumb mistake’
‘There is no right way to deal with these situations… I wish Carolina the best and I know she feels the same way about me.
“We had a unique experience together, filled with every possible emotion, but life has a different plan for us.”
Carolina had hinted at the anguish days before when she posted on Instagram: “Smile and no one will see how broken you are inside.”
The split turned sour later that month when the former lovebirds blocked each other on Instagram.

Despite wishing each other “all the best” weeks before, things reportedly changed for the exes when an old flame re-entered Carolina’s life.
