Married At First Sight’s Dan Hunjas looks somber as he steps out on the Gold Coast

Viewers of Married At First Sight have turned on Dan Hunjas after he brutally accused his TV wife, Sandy Jawanda, of hampering his style on Monday’s episode.

And the 43-year-old businessman appeared to be preparing for the worst when he visited a Gold Coast cafe on Sunday.

Dan, whose marriage is about to fall apart on the show in the coming weeks, looked grim as he sat at an outdoor table sipping coffee.

Looking away pensively, the reality star looked worlds away from the happy-go-lucky bachelor who won the hearts of viewers at the start of the episode.

At one point, the exhausted-looking reality star covered her eyes as she listened to something on her phone.

Dan was dressed in a black ‘Squad’ T-shirt, red shorts and Nike sneakers.

She completed her look with sunglasses and a wristband.

After finishing his coffee, Dan returned to his parked car and drove away.

It comes as fans slam Dan for his ‘gaslighting’ behavior towards Sandy on Monday’s episode.

During an argument, Dan accused Sandy of “overthinking” and criticized her for not being interested in living an “active lifestyle”.

‘You’re not an active person, you don’t want to be. I am not feeling that energy or connection that is so important to me,” she told him.

‘What I’m trying to figure out is are we compatible? That is a big question mark,” she added.

Sandy clarified that the reason she couldn’t exercise on the beach with Dan is because she had eczema on her skin and was therefore allergic to ocean water.

Many Twitter users were horrified by Dan’s blunt words and quickly called out the Gold Coast native.

‘Dan wants the female version of himself. W*nker’ wrote one irate viewer.

“Dan is challenging Harrison and Cam over who is the bigger jerk,” added another.

A third person said ‘Sandy is too smart for Dan’, while others accused Dan of ‘cheating’ on his wife.

Meanwhile, Dan drew a backlash after confirming he was with his new girlfriend, Samantha Symes, just four months after she attended his televised wedding to Sandy.

The couple have been very public about their romance, even though Dan’s ‘marriage’ to Sandy is still played out on the show.

Both the producers of Nine and Sandy are “furious” at Dan for messing up the fact that his marriage to Sandy doesn’t last.

As of now, Dan is said to be cooperating with Channel Nine and has vowed to ‘stay away’ from Samantha.

The cast was also given a stern reminder about ‘playing the part’ and keeping story details under wraps until they air on TV; this includes wearing their wedding rings for several more weeks.

Meanwhile, a guest who attended Dan and Sandy’s wedding claims that he went rogue because he “wasn’t happy with his editing” after seeing footage at the cast reunion.

They told Daily Mail Australia that the producers tried to make Dan look like a “suave, one-dimensional office guy” in order to make him seem more compatible with Sandy.
