Married At First Sight’s Carolina Santos has opened up about her night out with Duncan James.

Duncan was photographed flirting with and holding hands with Carolina from the 2022 season during a wild night out in Sydney in January.

The 34-year-old ex-girlfriend of MAFS downplayed the outing, which she attended along with co-star Olivia Frazer and Sebastian Guilhaus, who appeared in season seven.

Fans were shocked when photos of boyfriend Duncan James looking cozy with a girlfriend from last year’s season surfaced.

A source close to the 37-year-old cybersecurity sales director this week dismissed rumors that there was something romantic between the two.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, the friend, who also attended the night, said the night was nothing more than a bit of harmless fun.

‘Duncan just ran into Carolina, they were actually in a gay bar. There is nothing more than that. They were chatting and some guy just took a photo.

The friend added that Carolina and Duncan “have not spoken again” since the photo was taken.

Carolina leaned in seductively as they talked, drawing Duncan’s gaze to her cleavage, which was on full display in a low-cut black top.

Later that night, the single mom hugged Duncan, who couldn’t wipe the smile off his face.

At the time, he was two months away from filming the final season of MAFS.

He remains under strict instructions to keep post-show relationships discreet, after boyfriend Dan Hunjas received a legal letter from Nine for breaking his contract by introducing his new girlfriend.

The sighting comes as Duncan and Alyssa’s TV marriage remains alive after they clashed over their “priorities” at the couples’ retreat and Alyssa later stormed out of Sunday’s commitment ceremony.

A source said this week that the couple were living as “strangers” towards the end of the experiment, with Duncan spending more time with friends in Sydney, while Alyssa made regular trips to the Northern Beaches to see her son.

Carolina was involved in one of the biggest scandals in MAFS history last season.

The glamorous Brazilian began dating her co-star Daniel Holmes while she was still technically “married” to her on-screen husband, Dion Giannarelli.

The duo went on several dates while the hapless Dion tried everything to make things work out with his selfless ‘wife’.
