The last meeting of the cast members of series two was ultra fiery, and after many of the stars predicted that there would be the usual arguments, Matt Murray was at the center of the drama.

Matt couldn’t help but get into a fight between Sophie Brown and her husband Jonathan Wileman, after it was revealed the couple had split following their vow renewals.

The reunion saw the couples once again throw questions at each other from the frame of honesty which led to Sophie and Jonathan having a tense argument over the demise of their romance.

As the discussion continued, at the other end of the table, Matt was heard telling the group, ‘Sophie said a lot of things that she won’t say to anyone’s face and that’s it.’

I am there for Jonathan one hundred percent. I wouldn’t give a fuck about his partner, she’s fake.

Matt’s ex-wife Gemma, whom he dumped for co-star Whitney halfway through the experiment, chimed in, saying, ‘Will you just shut up for a minute, because the sound of your voice is getting really annoying?’

“Trust me dude, it’s mutual,” Matt replied.

‘Honestly, you’re embarrassing, you won’t listen to anyone else’s opinions even though your opinions are so high. You curse people even if you don’t say it to their face,’ Gemma continued, only for Matt to ask who she had ‘mistreated’.

‘You’re sitting there scolding Sophie. You were saying she’s a fake bitch,’ Gemma insisted between gasps from the group.

Matt defended himself, saying, “The words ‘fake bitch’ are not my terminology.”

The show’s commissioning editor, Mel Bezalel, said ahead of the new episode: ‘The latest series of Married at First Sight UK has been a phenomenal success on E4 and All 4; There’s no better way to say goodbye to 2022 than a seasonal special featuring some of our favorite brides and grooms.

“Married at First Sight is a unique experience, we’re excited to bring two actors together and see what new connections can be formed at the dinner table and even under the mistletoe…”

Murray Boland, Creative Director of CPL Productions, said: “There’s no better occasion to bring together some of our favorite MAFS UK brides and grooms. Who’s been bad, who’s been good…and who’s single?

Reunited: MAFS fans were previously given a first look at the Christmas reunion, which will potentially show off new romances between the cast members.
