OnlyFans creator slams Married At First Sight stars for joining the adult platform for a quick ‘cash grab’: ‘It feels like a slap in the face’

OnlyFans creator Cherry The Mistress spoke out on Saturday against reality TV stars who use their fame on the adult content website to make a quick buck.

She notably slammed Married At First Sight and Bachelorette stars in an interview with Yahoo lifestyle.

The sex worker said the move is just a “money grab” and “feels like a slap in the face” because they are tapping into an audience that smaller content creators don’t have.

“Married At First Sight, I’ve heard of people from that show doing OnlyFans, and I’ve heard of people from The Bachelorette, the show that’s very popular in the United States doing OnlyFans,” Cherry said.

“It feels like a slap in the face sometimes because they already have, you know, hundreds of thousands of followers, if not millions.”

Cherry struggled to build her online following from scratch during the pandemic when her job at the coffee shop couldn’t pay the bills.

She went on to say that celebrities who use the OnlyFans website for a quick and easy payday create “negative connotations for other sex workers.”

“They can join the site, boom, make like 10,000 a day. While smaller non-celebrity creators, it certainly takes us a lot more time and effort to build our presence online. It’s quite disturbing to see celebrities do that,” she said.

By comparison, Cherry said she worked her way up to earning from AUD$22,500 to AUD$30,000 a month after earning just AUD$2,700 from her job at the cafe.
