Married At First Sight star Richard Sauerman reveals what he wishes he had done differently on the show

Married At First Sight groom Richard Sauerman opened up Saturday about a rule he wishes he broke during his appearance on the show.

Richard, 62, revealed that cast members were banned from taking photos on their personal devices and were instead given production phones to take photos.

‘The producers gave us a production phone and said, ‘Use this phone to take pictures and videos of your relationship. You can’t do that on your own phone.’ So I did that,” he said Yahoo.

However, Richard discovered much later that many other cast members were not adhering to the rule, while he was, meaning they had many candid photos that could be used as keepsakes, while he only had promotional photos.

“Looking back, I see all these messages popping up from all the other couples about intimate moments and things that were clearly taken on another phone.”

“So everyone else all had social media posts of them living their lives and behind-the-scenes stuff, which Channel Nine are now happily posting and we were told not to do that.”

He then said that if he had known he could just take photos on his own device like other cast members, he would have done so to preserve precious memories.

‘I was following the rules and that just annoyed me. I would have done that differently and used my own phone and gone crazy and taken a lot of pictures.”

Richard was linked to Andrea Thompson, 51, during the Channel Nine dating experiment, but the couple decided to go their separate ways.

Looking back on his journey with the programme, Richard admitted there was one comment he wished he had never made.

He memorably shocked his co-stars with a sassy comment about his sex life with Andrea during intimacy week.

'The producers gave us a production phone and said: "Use this phone to take photos and videos of your relationship. You can't do it on your own phone". So I did,” he told Yahoo

He said, “We did intimacy week the week before intimacy week. We stared, we hugged, we fucked, we fucked, we did everything, we did everything.”

“I wouldn’t have said ‘we kissed, we licked…’ during the commitment ceremony during intimacy week,” Richard shared. women’s Day of his regret.

His comments come after Andrea lifted the lid on her marriage to Richard behind closed doors after sensationally quitting the experiment in March.

Speaking exclusively to Ny Breaking Australia, she said she decided to end things with Richard because the couple’s constant arguments were starting to make her “feel crazy”.

However, Richard discovered much later that many other cast members were not adhering to the rule, while he was, meaning they had many candid photos that could be used as keepsakes, while he only had promotional photos.
