Married At First Sight star Layton Mills surprises his girlfriend Melinda Willis with ring on their ’12-month anniversary of Melton’

Layton Mills and Melinda Willis celebrated their one year anniversary together on Sunday, and the groom had a very special gift for his love.

The biotech CEO, 35, surprised the fashion and beauty CEO, 32, with a “beautiful eternity ring” they showed off on Instagram.

Dressed to impress in matching black ensembles, the Married At First Sight couple enjoyed an extravagant dinner filled with wine and oysters as they celebrated.

“Sunday night we celebrated Melton’s 12th anniversary,” Melinda captioned her series of photos documenting the happy night.

‘Who would have thought! What a crazy ride it was, and you’ve all been there.’

She added: “Thank you for all the constant love and support, we are so grateful. The third slide shows the beautiful eternity ring Layton gave me that night.”

It comes just a few months after the couple revealed that Layton will be leaving his home in Sydney to move in with Melinda in Brisbane.

Speaking to Al Perkins and Taku Chimwaza on Nova’s Back To Reality podcast in June, the entrepreneur said her partner was already “packing.”

Melinda replied hesitantly, “Yes,” and the host then asked, “Ooh, how soon will we see?”

“Well, in a month,” she confessed.

This delighted host and former MAFS and Love Island Australia star Al, 26, chimed in: ‘Wow, congratulations. I like that.’

Melinda went on to explain, “(Layton’s) is currently packing up the store, like they want to do all that, and then move.”

A few weeks prior, Melinda confessed in an Instagram question-and-answer that building a long-distance relationship with Sydney-based Layton work was difficult.

“It can be hard sometimes, especially when we’re fighting and can’t be physically there to comfort each other,” she explained.
