Married At First Sight star Duncan brutally slams Channel Ten’s The Bachelor after rumors that he was set to be the show’s next lead.
There have been calls for dreamy Married At First Sight star Duncan James to become the next bachelor.
But the handsome boyfriend says that while he is still looking for love, he would never go on the dating reality show.
He made the confession during a live dinner with his castmates hosted by Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie on Thursday night.
When asked if he would take the next logical step of going on The Bachelor, Duncan took a vicious swipe at Channel Ten’s matchmaking show.
‘Would you really be willing to do The Bachelor?’ asked Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli.
Duncan James, 36, (pictured) said on Thursday that he will never go on The Bachelor because “no one sees him”, even though he is still “looking for love”.
Duncan danced around the question at first, saying, “I’m just a young man looking for love.”
But Kate and Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald didn’t let it go, asking, ‘Are you saying no, I wouldn’t?’ and ‘Would you consider it?’
Duncan then launched into a scathing comment with a sheepish smile: “No one watches The Bachelor.”
Despite starting out as one of the stronger couples on Married At First Sight, things are about to go awry for Duncan and his girlfriend Alyssa Barmonde.

According to a spy on set, Alyssa was left in tears when Duncan surprised her by revealing his decision to walk away from their relationship.
The lovesick bride is understood to be heartbroken that she was “hooked” when it seemed the producers knew Duncan had no intention of staying by her side.

‘Alyssa knew that things were never going to work out with Duncan, no matter how much he wanted to. They both live different lives.
The source claimed that the producers pressured her into saying “yes” to Alyssa, when they “clearly knew Duncan would dump her”. It wasn’t fair.’
Duncan’s explosive confession left Alyssa visibly shattered, as he coldly told her, “I don’t want to hurt you, and I don’t want to be hurt anymore.”
