Married At First Sight star begs his followers to help him get a job after failing to cash in on his 15 minutes of fame

Married At First Sight star Tristan Black has asked his followers for help in launching a career in radio.

The reality star, who failed to find true love with Cassandra Allen on Channel Nine’s dating show, promoted his CV on social media on Wednesday and asked his followers for help in finding his dream job in radio.

“Hello everyone, Tristan here. I’m reaching out to you because I need your help,” the clip began.

“I’ve been trying to make a career change for the last two or three months, which is to go into radio. Besides the fact that I have the face for it, I just think I’m hilarious… which I think is a funny joke.”

Tristan, who currently works as an events manager for hotels in Sydney’s Northern Beaches, added that he was keen to get his hands on the microphone but wasn’t sure where to begin his career change.

“It’s been a bit of a struggle because I don’t really know who to talk to and what to do. I mean, I’ve done a lot of Googling and looking on Seek and all that stuff.”

Tristan then urged his followers to contact potential radio hosts in their networks and discuss his good points.

‘But if anyone out there knows someone who can point me in the right direction, please give them feedback.

“Tell them I’m funny, a team player, loyal, witty and an all-round cracker in the glass. If anyone knows anyone who can give me advice or point me in the right direction that would be great. I hope you all have a lovely day, lots of love.”

Tristan, who competed on the 2024 series Married at First Sight, felt rejected after he and his bride Cassandra decided to call it quits during a commitment ceremony.

“I told someone I was falling in love with them, and then I got rejected and then I just backed off,” he confessed.

The confession came after a week of reflection, and led them to the painful conclusion that their relationship could not go beyond friendship.

In a bittersweet farewell, Cass offered Tristan words of encouragement, suggesting that his future partner would be incredibly lucky.

Tristan responded with a heartfelt acknowledgement of the impact Cass had had on his life and expressed his gratitude despite the grief.

‘Cass, you broke my heart, but I’m glad you were the one who broke my heart. You know, you’re the first person I ever told I fell in love with. And anyway, it didn’t work out, you’re stuck in my life forever.

“And maybe I can work on myself a little bit more, and maybe we can get in touch again in the future,” he shared.

Tristan added: 'I'm funny, a team player, loyal, quick-witted and an all-round cracker in the glass. If anyone knows anyone who can give me some advice or point me in the right direction that would be absolutely fantastic'
