Fans of Married at First Sight can look forward to seeing Mitch Eynaud’s younger brother Jayden as the groom in the next season of the Channel Nine dating show.

And Ella Ding, who was paired with Mitch on the reality hit, has hit out at her former brother’s decision to join the cast, saying she was “surprised” to hear the news.

Ella, 29, who was left heartbroken by Mitch over their final vows, says she met Jaden while filming the 2022 season of MAFS.

“Obviously we all know Mitch was the biggest hater on the show, (he) wanted to leave, he hated the production and the producers and the actors, and me at some point,” Ella said Yahoo! on Friday.

“So it’s quite surprising.” I met him (Jaden) a few times and it was only for a short time. He was nice, but what I do know is that they are very different,” she continued.

She added that she hadn’t seen or spoken to Mitch for “quite a long time.”

In July, Daily Mail Australia revealed that Jaden, a professional kickboxer, will follow in his sibling’s footsteps and walk down the aisle to a complete stranger.

Sources close to the genetically blessed boxer say Jaden is thrilled and excited about his time in the spotlight.

Jaden filmed his background on the Gold Coast, with many spotting the burly athlete surrounded by cameras at his local gym.

More than likely, this will see Mitch return to the dating show, making a cameo appearance at his brother’s TV wedding.

This new season is expected to push the boundaries like never before and include the most diverse cast yet, Daily Mail Australia can reveal.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that marketing and PR consultant Lauren Dunn was the first cast member reported to appear on the show.

Channel Nine will serve up an eclectic mix of personalities, making it the most diverse season in the show’s history.

There is also the potential return of another gay couple to the series.

“Bosses understand the importance of getting the situation right if they want to reintroduce a gay couple, this is being seriously considered and casting producers have spoken to dozens of hopefuls,” the insider added.
