Married At First Sight’s Melinda Willis reveals big news for her and groom Layton Mills – after admitting it’s been hard to maintain their long-distance relationship
Melinda Layton revealed on Thursday that her boyfriend and Married At First Sight co-star Layton Mills are moving in with her.
The 36-year-old reality TV groom will be making the trek from his home in Sydney to the blonde beauty’s residence in Brisbane in less than a month.
Talking to Al Perkins and Taku Chimwaza on Novas Back to reality podcast, the entrepreneur, 32, said her partner was already “packing the store.”

Melinda replied hesitantly, “there is,” prompting the host to follow up with, “Ooh, how soon will we see that?”

The 32-year-old said on Nova’s Back To Reality podcast that Layton will make the journey from his home in Sydney to her residence in Brisbane in a month
“Well, in a month,” she confessed.
This delighted host and former MAFS and Love Island Australia star Al, 26, chimed in: ‘Wow, congratulations. I like that.’
Melinda further explained, “[Layton’s] currently packing the shop, like seeing all that done and then moving.”
It comes just a few weeks after she confessed in a Q&A on Instagram that it was difficult to establish a long-distance relationship with Sydney-based Layton.
“It can be hard sometimes, especially when we’re fighting and can’t be physically there to comfort each other,” she explained.
“These cases can lead to a feeling of disconnection that lasts for a few days.”
To keep their relationship thriving, the pair have been planning “special trips” every few weeks for the past few months.
