Married At First Sight bride Jules Robinson shares ‘difficult’ health struggles: ‘I’ve always suffered’

Former Married At First Sight bride Jules Robinson has spoken about her ‘difficult’ health problems.

In a candid interview with 9Entertainmentthe 41-year-old said she wanted to raise awareness about premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), a condition she struggles with.

PMDD is an intense, sometimes debilitating form of premenstrual syndrome characterized by extreme mood swings that can significantly disrupt women’s daily lives and strain relationships.

Jules revealed her experience with the condition earlier this month and has been deeply moved by the remarkable response she has received since sharing her story.

‘As women… we all go through an emotional period at that time of the month, but PMDD is completely different… it was very intense to talk about it, after three years of suffering… I have always suffered,’ she said.

Jules also said that the day she met future husband Cameron Merchant, 39, she warned him that living with her every month would be terrible: ‘Put me under the stairs once a month and just ignore me a couple of days.’

She explained that after the birth of their son Oliver in 2020, she noticed a significant change in her well-being and realized something might be wrong.

Jules faced particularly difficult times during a trip to Bali last year at a women’s health retreat.

‘I had some really dark thoughts, and that’s when I asked myself, ‘Who am I now?’ “I’m learning to honor that time and stay with it and rest and go through the motions and learn how to get better with it and what works for me,” she said.

It comes as Jules’ husband Cam shared a touching tribute to her last month to mark their five-year anniversary.

The former reality star, 39, posted a gallery of loved-up wedding photos from 2018 to Instagram and captioned them with heartfelt words.

‘I want someone who comes into my life by accident, but stays on purpose. It’s been five years since I met my best friend Jules and got married sight unseen,” he began.

‘I still feel like it was one of the best days I’ve ever experienced… and you’d never think that in some of these photos we’ve only known each other for hours.

‘There was something special, friendly, supportive and warm about our first connection and it has only gone from strength to strength. “I am so grateful for you, for our experiences, support and love we have created for each other,” he added.

Last year, Jules sparked rumors they were planning for baby number two after she confessed she was determined to have a girl.

She said on her podcast that after discovering her chances of having another boy were high, she decided to do everything she could to conceive a girl.

The hair and makeup artist said she spoke to a friend, who gave her unorthodox advice for producing a girl.

“Her advice was pretty clear… You should ‘dump’, which means the opposite of laying with your legs up after sex,” she revealed.
