New South Wales have taken a huge blow ahead of Origin II after Api Koroisau suffered a suspected broken jaw against the Titans on Thursday night.
The Tigers star was ruled out of the game midway through the first half after colliding with Titans forward Tino Fa’asuamaleaui.
The incumbent Blues hooker suffered a broken jaw and may be sidelined for a long period of time.
“I just talked to Api Koroisau and he’s very depressed,” Fox League affiliate reporter Corey Parker said.
“He’s got a broken jaw and he’s not coming back tonight.

“They’ll run some scans of what’s going on there, but he’s got a broken jaw.”
New South Wales head to Suncorp Stadium on June 21 and need a win to level the series after losing Origin I 26-18 in Adelaide last week.
With Koroisau expected to be excluded from the series, South Sydney star Damien Cook is the leading candidate to replace him.

The Titans pistol was placed on report for a high hit on the Tigers whore
The Maroons, meanwhile, will sweat over the availability of Fa’asuamaleaui, who was placed on report for a high shot at Koroisau.
Queensland have already lost forwards Tom Gilbert and Jai Arrow to a dislocated shoulder and ankle injury respectively.
“It’s a huge blow to the Tigers and NSW. It means the Origin series is gone for Api,” blues consultant Greg Alexander told Fox League.
‘I don’t know how many problems Tino has. I thought Tino’s bump on Reed Mahoney was probably worse than that one.
“Unfortunately, Api put himself in the wrong position, the bumpers go up off Tino and hit him on the jaw.”
