Marnus Labuschagne jokes around jokingly with Steve Smith as he watches his Brisbane Heat take a HUGE upset win over his Australian teammate’s Sydney Sixers to clinch a spot in the Big Bash final against Perth Scorchers
Marncus Labuschagne and Steve Smith had to watch from afar as their Big Bash League teams battled for a place in the final of the competition at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
But it was Labuschagne who had the last laugh as his Brisbane Heat earned a shock victory over the Sydney Sixers to advance to Sunday’s matchup against the Perth Scorchers.
The Australian stars are in India preparing for their four-match Test series this month, and both played important roles for their T20 teams during the competition in January.

Smith scored back-to-back centuries for the Sixers during his tenure with the team, while Labuschagne turned in a high-scoring 73 runs for the Heat.
However, there was little they could do to influence the outcome of the penalty shootout between their two teams as they watched from the team hotel in Bangalore on Thursday.
Labuschagne documented the tense scenes as the pair were on the edge of their seats throughout, while Mitchell Swepson and Matthew Renshaw also quartered for the Heat.
And when Michael Neser hit the winning runs to secure a four-wicket victory, Labuschagne was filmed joking with Smith, who pretended to throw punches at his teammate in response to the teasing he was receiving.
The Heat, who have won just six of their 14 regular-season games, have a chance to win the entire competition for the first time since 2012-13.
