He is known for his role in a slew of wacky comedies, including the 2004 hit White Chicks.
And Marlon Wayans has now explained that we “need” these kinds of films in the world, while denouncing the “cancel culture”.
The 50-year-old actor claimed “we can’t laugh anymore” as he discussed the 18 years since its release, explaining that he won’t change his manners or jokes.

To talk with Buzzfeed in a recent interview, Marlon said he’d rather tell a joke and get “cancelled” than not and be scared.
When asked by the publication whether White Chicks could thrive now, 18 years after release and under stricter censorship, the actor shared that these kinds of films are “necessary.”
“I don’t know what planet we’re on, where you think people shouldn’t laugh, and people should be censored and canceled.
“If I have to be canceled due to a joke, thank you for doing me that favor. It’s sad that society is in this place where we can’t laugh anymore,” he explained.

Marlon starred in White Chicks alongside brother Shawn, while the pair portrayed two FBI agents who went undercover as cruise line heirs to avoid kidnapping the real women.
The film, which was directed by his brother Keenan, has been marked as a popular cult classic — despite a rocky release and “worst picture” Razzie nomination in 2004.
But over the years, there has been some controversy over the racial undertones, as Marlon and Shawn’s characters dress up in white makeup.

Marlon continued to Buzzfeed that he’s confident his unruly audience won’t change what he’s doing, saying, “These scared people, these scared executives. Are you doing what you want to do? Excellent. I still tell my jokes the way I tell them.
“And if you want to make some money, jump on board. And if not, I’ll find a way to do it myself. I know my audience.
Marlons stars in the new release The Curse of Bridge Hollow, taking the role from comedy and raunchy releases to a PG movie.
Admitting that the change comes when “it’s time to grow up,” the star explained that as a parent, he’s now thinking about what he would like to see with his family.
The actor is one of ten children in the famous Wayan clan and shares two children, Shawn, 20, and Amai, 22, with his ex, Angela Zackery.
