Marla Maples had a breast pump ‘brought to her on a silver platter’ at the pool, new book claims

Marla Maples had a breast pump ‘brought to her on a silver platter’ while she was lounging poolside at Mar-a-Lago following the birth of her daughter, Tiffany Trump, a new book claims.

Explosive details about Donald Trump and his marriage to Maples — his mistress-turned-second wife — are featured in Maggie Haberman’s book, ‘Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and The Breaking of America.’

The New York Times journalist has been covering Trump since the 1990s, and her book chronicles his life as a businessman in New York City and his rise to the presidency.

According to Haberman’s sources, Trump once broke up with Maples via FedEx, invited a gossip columnist into the delivery room when she gave birth to Tiffany, and compared her family to ‘The Beverly Hillbillies.’

Trump had been married to his first wife, Ivana Trump, for over a decade and shared three young children with her — Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric — when he started his highly-publicized affair with Maples in 1989.

Ivana, who passed away earlier this year, revealed in her own book, ‘Raising Trump,’ that she realized her marriage was coming to an end when she was confronted by Maples.

‘This young blonde woman approached me out of the blue and said, “I’m Marla and I love your husband. Do you?”‘ she recalled. ‘I said, “Get lost. I love my husband.”‘

Trump and Ivana divorced in 1992.

Haberman wrote in ‘Confidence Man’ that ‘Maples was said to have traveled with a wedding dress in tow, in case [Trump] proposed, so the wedding could happen immediately.’

But before they tied the knot, Trump allegedly broke up with her by FedEx when she was staying at the home of an entertainment executive in California.

Maples, in return, struck up a relationship with singer Michael Bolton. In a 1994 Vanity Fair profile, Trump defended her actions while boasting about how he dumped her and then won her back.

‘She was very hurt,’ he told the magazine. ‘Michael Bolton calls Marla and says, “Marla, I’d like to take you out.” And he falls madly in love with her.

‘Now, I say to myself, Wait a minute. I don’t like this. Michael Bolton — he’s got the No. 1 f**king album in the world, “Time, Love and Tenderness,” and what that does to a guy like me, a competitive guy, it’s like an affirmation that the girl has to be great, because the No. 1 singer has fallen for her. There’s nothing wrong with what she’s doing. I left her. Not only that. I left her like a dog.

‘So what happens is, I say, “What the f**k is going on?” I do a Trump number on her. All-enveloping. I call her. She says, “How could you have left me the way you did?” She decides to go to Hawaii with me instead of to Europe with Michael Bolton. In Maui, this guy finds out where we are, and starts sending flowers. Yellow roses with a note: “I’ve got Georgia on my mind. Love, Michael.”

‘She’s torn. I’ve left her twice. But she drops him and comes back to me.’

Trump associates told Haberman that the businessman took Maples to one of Bolton’s concerts ‘as a show of dominance’ over him.

Trump and Maples welcomed Tiffany, their only child together, in October 1993.

Haberman wrote in her book that Trump was pushed into having ‘friendly gossip columnist’ Linda Stasi ‘crash the delivery room for an exclusive.’

Trump allegedly said no at first but gave in after the writer claimed she would get fired if she didn’t get the story.

Stasi shared her version of events in ‘Confidence Man,’ recalling how Maples asked, ‘What is she doing here?’

‘I’m here because I want to see the baby,’ she told the new mom.

‘It’s okay. Her boss would have fired her,’ Trump allegedly added.

Stasi claimed that after Maples refused to have a photo taken, Trump took her into the hallway and swaddled receiving blankets to make it look like he was holding a covered baby for a photo-op.

‘Nobody will know,’ he allegedly assured her and the photographer.

Stasi said she declined to publish the staged picture after it was taken.

The couple had different parenting styles, according to associates who spoke with Haberman about Tiffany’s early years.

‘Marla had a breast pump brought to her on a silver platter while sitting pool-side at Mar-a-Lago,’ the journalist wrote.

There were also claims that Maples had ‘concerns about vaccines and chemicals.’ (In 2020, the actress promoted a baseless conspiracy theory that Bill Gates was implanting monitoring microchips in billions of people via COVID-19 vaccines.)

However, Alan Marcus, a consultant who worked for Trump in the ’90s, said his former boss wanted Tiffany to be vaccinated.

Set to sultry music, the opening of the TV spot suggests a romantic rendezvous between the former couple.

‘Do you really think this is the right thing for us to be doing, Ivana?’ Trump asks.

‘What would people think?’ Ivana adds.

After agreeing that what they were about to do is ‘wrong’ but ‘feels so right,’ they agree to eat their ‘pizza the wrong way’ — meaning crust first.

‘May I have the last slice,’ Ivana asks at the end of the commercial.

‘Actually, you’re only entitled to half,’ Trump responds, poking fun at their divorce.

In ‘Confidence Man,’ Marcus recalled speaking to Trump the day the commercial was filmed. Initially, he thought the businessman had misspoken when he said his co-star was Ivana, not Maples.

Trump allegedly told him that he was paid $500,000 to do the commercial with his ex-wife, which his second wife didn’t know about. Marcus said he advised him to tell Maples about the spot.

He later told Marcus and Nick Ribis, a Trump casino executive at the time, that Maples was physically sick over the commercial.

‘The poor kid,” he said, according to the book. ‘I started to tell her and she got sick. She said she had to go.’

Haberman wrote that Trump’s voice ‘turned into a nasal falsetto’ as he recounted how Maples told him she had to ‘puke her f**king guts out.’

There were signs that the couple’s marriage was in trouble, including a dinner Trump had with Official Preppy Handbook author Lisa Birnbach; Maples; her mother, Laura Ann Locklear; and Marcus.

Trump allegedly turned to Marcus and said Maples ‘looks terrible. She’s lost too much weight’ — pointing to his own chest as he said it.

He also was said to complain to associates that he thought he was marrying a homebody, but his second wife wanted to go out all of the time.

In April 1996, a cop patrolling a beach near Trump’s Mar-A-Lago resort spotted Maples and Trump bodyguard Spencer Wagner under a lifeguard station.

The story got picked up by the National Enquirer, and Wagner claimed he was there alone until Maples, then 33, emerged from underneath the stand wearing ‘tight, black spandex leggings and a skimpy jogging top.’

Maples claimed that she just needed to go the bathroom and couldn’t find a restroom nearby. (Wagner’s ex-wife, Mary Miller, later said that he had admitted to sleeping with Maples after their ‘passion boiled over.’)

Nearly a year later, Jeane MacIntosh, who was the deputy editor of the New York Post’s Page Six column at the time, got a tip that Maples bought two gold Lexus cars from a dealership in New York City, and Trump forced her to return them.

MacIntosh reached out to the Trump Organization for comment, and it was Trump who took the call over concerns that the story would make it look like he was ‘broke,’ according to the book.

Trump allegedly told the journalist that he had ‘something better’ to give her story-wise before announcing, ‘I am divorcing Marla.’

When MacIntosh asked why, he started making fun of his wife’s Southern roots.

‘Are you old enough to remember the show “The Beverly Hillbillies?”‘ he asked, referring to the show’s fictional family, the Clampetts. ‘That’s exactly her family, except they came to New York City instead of Beverly Hills.’

‘She was always surrounded by an entourage of dumb Southerners,’ he added.

Trump even put on a Southern accent to imitate Maples’ mother, according to the book.

However, he noted that he still planned on having Maples host the Miss Universe pageant that year after receiving high ratings when she took the stage the year before.

Trump and Maples separated after only four years of marriage, and the timing wasn’t a coincidence. She would have been entitled to more money if they divorced after five years of marriage.

According to the former couple’s leaked prenuptial agreement Trump only offered Maples $1 million if they separated within five years and another $1 million to purchase a house.

He would also pay $100,000 in child support to Tiffany every year until she turned 21. If she got a full-time job or joined the military or Peace Corps, he would stop the payments completely.

Trump also included an extensive confidentiality agreement that wouldn’t allow Maples to publish ‘any diary, memoir, letter, story, photograph, interview, article, essay, account or description…whether fictionalized or not’ that included details of their marriage.

Their divorce was finalized in 1999, and Trump went on to marry his third wife and future first lady, Melania Trump, née Knauss, in 2005. They welcomed their son, Barron, the following year.
