Marks and Spencer have teamed up with a scientific nutrition company to sell a milk drink that helps people improve their diets.

M&S Food and Zoe hope to cash in on the increasing demand for products that support digestion and raise awareness of the role of the gut in staying healthy. Customers can get the Gut Shot drink from today in M&S food stores and on Ocado's website.

The drink, which contains 14 friendly bacteria along with kefir and berries, costs £2 and comes with a free gut health guide.

The deal marks Zoe's first retail collaboration. It was founded in 2017 to help people improve their health with personalized nutrition.

Zoe works with several famous faces, including TV presenter Davina McCall.

Alex Freudmann, managing director of M&S Food, said the Gut Shot 'combines Zoe's food science expertise with the magic of M&S Food's quality, innovation and product development'.

Jonathan Wolf, co-founder and CEO of Zoe, said: 'I'm delighted we've worked with M&S to bring this delicious product to supermarkets across the country, helping more people improve their gut health.
