Shoppers rush to buy ‘incredible dupe’ of $6,000 designer bag: ‘I can’t take it!’
- Marks and Spencer has released a stylish crossbody bag for $75.99
- Thousands say it’s a “dupe” of the classic $5900 Celine box bag
- M&S bag is now available on the Australian website after selling out in the UK
Customers are rushing to get their hands on a stylish new bag that is rumored to be a ‘dupe’ of a designer version.
The Marks and Spencer faux leather shoulder bag sold out after its sale in stores in the UK closely compared to the classic Celine box bag – and the budget bag has just landed on the Australian website.
The M&S product costs $75.99, while the Celine bag costs $5900, but the two look almost identical.
Sydney blogger Virginia Jenkins was one of hundreds who endorsed the M&S bag by calling it “awesome” and pointed out the similarities.

Several videos have surfaced on TikTok of women styling the M&S bag with different outfits.
The bag itself comes in three different colors – camel, khaki and white – and features an accordion-style design with two roomy compartments and an inner zip pocket for small items.
The gold buckle on the front, the crossbody design and the faux leather material are all too similar to the luxurious Celine version.
The budget option is ideal for fashionistas who want to achieve an elegant, modern style without breaking the bank.

UK stylist Katie Peake also shared a video of styling the ‘it’ bag with a striped jumper, black trousers and matching loafers.
“Getting my hands on this bag was the biggest flex of the season,” one person commented.
“So chic,” said another, a third added, “I need this!”
It is believed the product was first seen on store shelves in September last year by British radio presenter Melissa Riddell, who said it was an ‘incredible dupe’.
“I was looking for bedding, but was clearly distracted. Doesn’t this look exactly like the Celine classic box bag?’ she said in a video, adding, “I can’t take it!”
But despite the similar design, some customers were not convinced.
“Looks like it would scratch easily,” one wrote, another added, “I’m not thrilled about it.”
Another said it looks “too small” to hold all their personal valuables.
