Why Mark Zuckerberg promoting himself as a ‘wife guy’ is winning over fans
Mark Zuckerberg’s public embrace of wife Priscilla Chan could help propel the tech billionaire into the public eye.
That’s according to relationship therapist Isabelle Morley, who spoke Business insidermen who present themselves as “feminine guys” can be a great thing.
“It shows that it’s okay for men to view a positive relationship as an achievement — it’s not just career success,” she told the publication.
“For women to not just be the supportive person or best friend character, but to be an equal partner, is a really good message for people,” she added.
Zuckerberg has proudly shown off his life with Priscilla on social media in recent years.
Whether this is a calculated PR move or simply a natural expression of his adoration for his wife is unclear, according to Morley.
“We can never find out if there is an ulterior motive for doing that, or if they agree that this is something they want for their public image if they have a whole PR team,” she said.
In August, Zuckerberg unveiled a bizarre statue of Priscilla.

The 40-year-old social media tycoon shared on Instagram a photo of the monument, which appeared to be made of oxidized green copper and steel.
He wrote: ‘Bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife.’
Priscilla, 39, was snapped sipping a hot drink in front of the new statue, created by artist Daniel Arsham.
She shared the same image of herself sipping the image and wrote, “You can’t miss me!”
The monument shows the former pediatrician staring petrified into space as he walks.
The Priscilla statue appears naked, but her body is covered in a dramatic strip of highly polished stainless steel, designed to look like a robe.
Zuckerberg gave no indication as to what had inspired the act of love, but friends and followers were quick to welcome the gesture.
TV star Gayle King replied: ‘Wow! Is there a backstory here or just Tuesday night at your house? PS, do you have an older brother who is black that I could meet? I’m asking for a friend.’

The couple, who own homes in California and Hawaii, have three daughters: eight-year-old Maxima, six-year-old August and Aurelia, who is almost two.
Chan graduated from Harvard with a bachelor’s degree in biology and worked as a teacher for a year.
She returned to college in 2008 to train as a pediatrician and completed her residency in 2015.
