Mark Zuckerberg is currently traveling and has no interest in fighting anyone who “randomly shows up at his house,” a spokesman said after Elon Musk claimed to have arrived at his property in Palo Alto on Monday.

Musk reached out to Zuckerberg via his X social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, to tell his tech rival that he was outside his California home ready for a practice MMA fight.

“Knock, knock,” he wrote, “challenge accepted… open the door.”

The billionaire duo has flirted with the possibility of a superfight that UFC president Dana White believes would generate more than $1 billion in revenue over the better part of two months, but Zuckerberg recently doubted it would become a reality.

And despite being told to forget about a warmup fight in a private exchange leaked by Musk to his biographer Walter Isaacson, the Tesla chief seemingly ignored that advice and rocked out to his home in Palo Alto.

But a spokesman for Zuckerberg says he is currently out of town and traveling instead

However, Zuckerberg is said to not even be on the premises at this point and is instead “on the road” – though he wouldn’t have a practice fight with Musk even if he were.

“Mark is currently traveling and is not in Palo Alto. Mark also takes this sport seriously and is not going to fight someone who randomly shows up at his house,” a Zuckerberg spokesperson said. The edge.

Musk leaked his private messages with Zuckerberg this weekend after sending a screenshot of their latest exchange to Isaacson, urging the Facebook founder to accept a warmup fight for their proposed $1 billion showdown.

However, Zuckerberg told him to get serious about a competitive game or “move on” from the saga, fearing they’re “hyping something that will never happen.”

“If you still want to do a real MMA fight then you just need to train and let me know when you are ready to compete,” he wrote.

“I don’t want to keep hyped about something that will never happen, so you have to decide that you’re going to do this and do it quickly, or we have to move on.”

According to Business Insiderwas Musk’s full reply, “I haven’t practiced much, other than a short fight with Lex Fridman today.”

“While I think it’s highly unlikely given our size difference, you might be a modern day Bruce Lee and somehow win.”

Musk sent a recent exchange with Zuckerberg to biographer Walter Isaacson, in which the Facebook founder told him he doesn’t want to keep “hyping something that will never happen.”

Musk is eager to hear him in a non-competitive warm-up fight for the real thing

Zuckerberg has expressed doubts about a competitive battle with Musk, which is likely to take place soon at the Colosseum in Rome.

He also told Musk to contact him if he ever “gets serious about a real date and an official event” for a cage fight under MMA rules in a post on his new social media platform Threads.

“I offered a real date. (UFC president) Dana White offered to make it a legitimate bout for charity,” Zuckerberg said.

Elon doesn’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice run in my backyard instead.

“If Elon is ever serious about a real date and an official event, he knows how to reach me. Otherwise time to move on. I’m going to focus on competitions with people who take the sport seriously.’
