Mark Wright showcases his toned abs as he goes for a dip in the sea in Mallorca

Mark Wright showed off his toned abs while working out while taking a break from renovating his Mallorca flat on Wednesday afternoon.

The former TOWIE star, 36, went shirtless and opted for gray trainers while jogging in Palma.

After his run, Mark opted to relax with a refreshing dip in the sea at the sun-soaked destination.

The star, who has been married to actress Michelle Keegan since 2015, wore a black swimsuit.

Mark, who likes to keep fit because he likes the feeling of being fit and healthy, looked in good spirits despite the current chaos in his apartment in Spain.

Mark traveled 30 hours to Mallorca to reform his apartment in just three weeks with a team of builders.

Speaking at Heart Breakfast with Mallorca’s Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden earlier this month, Mark detailed the disastrous scenario he had found himself in.

He explained that he bought the flat a year ago before handing it over to builders he didn’t know, but said they tried to ‘take shortcuts’ and created ‘problems’.

Mark, who works in real estate development, said he was not happy with the look of the apartment, so he decided to travel there with a team of builders to do the work himself.

He told hosts Jamie and Amanda: “I bought an apartment a little over a year ago and turned it over to builders I didn’t know, it wasn’t that I wasn’t happy with the look.”

‘They just created a lot of trouble, they tried to cut corners. So I talked to another company and the price didn’t match what I had in mind, and I thought, DIY, I have to fix it myself.

Speaking about the long journey, he said at the time: ‘I left two days ago. It is a long and ancient journey. What makes it longer is the fact that it is an island.

“If it was just Barcelona it would be fine, you have to take the ferry which is seven hours, but it ends up being 10 because we’ve been sitting here for an hour docked and we didn’t get out.”

Torn: After his run, Mark opted to relax with a refreshing dip in the sea at the sun-soaked destination.

Mark then revealed that he had just under three weeks to completely remove the existing “bad” work and renovate the flat, which is situated in a hotel.

He said, ‘Not even finishing it, stripping what they’ve done, because it’s like just bad, and doing it myself.’ Right now it’s me, Jonny Boy and some of his men, and they have to get one or two of his men out in the week.

“Literally just over two and a half weeks and probably — this is not an exaggeration — probably realistically, if you have all hands on deck, a six-week job,” he added.

Jamie asked Mark what his wife Michelle had been doing to help with the ‘disaster’, to which the footballer joked that she just sent him a text asking if he had arrived yet.

He added: “And ‘preparing my apartment for the summer’ basically.”

Amanda, who recently renovated a Sicilian villa with Alan Carr for a TV show, also quipped: “Oh, see if you need me or Alan Carr to come over and give you a hand, Mark, we’re your guys.”

To which Mark replied, ‘You know what, Amanda? I’ve been documenting it on Instagram and almost every message in my inbox is from someone saying you should talk to Alan Carr and Amanda Holden. They know what to do.

Mark has been detailing the ordeal on his Instagram page and also shared a video during the ride to give fans an update on the “nightmare” situation.

In the clip, he explained that the apartment is in a hotel, which means they have to stop building ‘rightly’ when it opens to guests due to noise.

Hard at work: The presenter and a team of builders (pictured) drove for two days and desperately caught a ferry to their holiday apartment on the Spanish island earlier this month.

Speaking about the time constraints, he said earlier this month: “Not me, I typically left it to the last minute looking for other options, so I didn’t have to go there, I didn’t manage to do it.”

‘So, three weeks before they open, I’m not in a van with Jonny boy… we’re driving to Mallorca.’

He admitted they had a challenge ahead of them as it currently looks like a ‘bomb’ has hit with tiles ‘falling off the wall’, saying they both have to fix what’s broken and do a ‘complete makeover’.

In an accompanying caption, he added: “Follow my stories to see how this journey unfolds!!
