Heartbreaking: Mark Wright, 36, was moved to tears on his new BBC show, A Wright Family Holiday, when his emotional father Mark Senior, 66, remembered the death of his brother Eddie
To him, “He’s here with me, that’s why I did it.” Trust me, he’s here, I felt it, 1000%,” said Mark Senior, praising his late brother for giving him the courage to venture into a cave
Mark Senior insisted, “He’s here with me, that’s why I did it. Trust me, he’s here, I felt it, 1000%.’
In a confessional on camera, Mark Senior said, “Eddie, my brother, we were very good friends and not just brothers.
“It was terrible when he died. Losing someone so close and having to tell my mom and dad was horrible. My mother shook for an hour.’
At this point, Mark became visibly emotional and burst into tears, while you could hear Josh say to their father, “He would be so proud, that’s for sure.”
Mark shared the news that his uncle Eddie had passed away in 2021, writing on Instagram: ‘Nowhere, never, never will you find better. My Uncle Eddie, you were one in a trillion. You taught me so much!! As a man I know almost everything.
“From how to love my family, treat my wife with respect, work hard, smile, be a gentleman and be the one you enjoyed the most.
“You taught me how to play golf (which I promise I will continue to practice to become as good as you wanted me to be), but most of all, you were one of the most integral parts of our incredible family.
“You were the glue, the one that made us meet and make memories (which we promise again to continue. We will NOT let you down) in the end….I’m sooooo PROUD to call you my uncle and that I will do until the end of the day.

“I’ve thought many times in the last 24 hours that part of me wishes we weren’t so close so we didn’t love a family so much because maybe it wouldn’t hurt so much.
“I/we are absolutely broken, but together, being the family that we are… somehow we will get through it. We will forever take care of Aunt Debbie, our cousins and your grandchildren and that is promised.
I will stop thinking this way and instead be thankful for the memories we have and when the dust settles look back and smile.
‘Okay, rest in peace. I love you sooo much, more than I’ve ever told you and that’s saying something. I will see you 1 day back and until then I will continue to make you proud.’
