Actor Mark Wahlberg was brought to ESPN2’s ManningCast on Monday to star alongside Peyton and Eli Manning for the alternate broadcast of the game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

It seemed like an easy task considering it was a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl and a matchup between the two best teams in the NFL.

But Wahlberg, a New England Patriots fan from his native Boston, brought very little energy to his appearance and looked completely miserable.

The low-energy segment that likely led to viewers switching channels and NFL fans had no choice but to take to social media to blast the A-Lister.

“Someone should check on Mark Wahlberg? Is he doing okay?’ said a fan on X.

“I challenge anyone to put less energy into a performance than Mark Wahlberg gives tonight on the ManningCast,” wrote another user on X.

“Why does Mark Wahlberg look like someone just stole his dog,” one user on X asked.

“Is Mark Wahlberg being forced at gunpoint to face Peyton and Eli tonight?” said another social media user. “He seems very upset to be there.”

The Eagles ultimately defeated the Chiefs 21-17 in a game that came down to the final few plays.

Too bad Wahlberg didn’t seem to care about what happened on ESPN’s airwaves Monday night.

The win marked the first time Jason has defeated his brother Travis in their NFL careers, with the Chiefs defeating the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII in Arizona in February.

Both sides played a physical, scrappy game with the Eagles taking their first lead in the fourth quarter.

Philly trailed 17-7 at halftime, but a pair of rushing touchdowns from Jalen Hurts ultimately helped them to a 9-1 record as the hosts were shut out in the second half.

Hurts’ second score — which gave the Eagles the 21-17 lead with just 6:20 remaining — came on a 44-yard completion to DeVonta Smith that put the team at the one-yard line.

Despite scoring a touchdown in the second quarter, it was a relatively quiet evening for Travis, whose girlfriend Taylor Swift was not in attendance during her tour of South America.

He finished the game with seven catches for 44 yards, and also fumbled the ball away in the red zone in the fourth quarter as Kansas City tried to extend a 17–14 lead.
