Stefon Diggs returned to practice last week after an unexpected absence, but Mark Schlereth isn’t over the All-Pro receiver who missed the first day of Bill’s minicamp.

Diggs, who was excused from Tuesday’s mandatory practice, is reportedly frustrated by his role in the offense and “voice in play-calling,” according to the Boston Globe.

It’s not the first time Diggs, who played for the Vikings before being traded to Buffalo, has had a problem with his team’s offense, and three-time Super Bowl winner Schlereth thinks he’s the problem.

‘Do you know what you do with a petulant child? What you have to do is spank him,” the former offensive lineman said on his “The Stinkin Truth podcast.

“But what you have to do is give him a baby.” “Oh, it will be okay, I will be the bigger person, it is my fault.” To grow up.

“He made his way out of Minnesota, so what is he going to do next? Keeping his way out of Buffalo because your feelings are hurt? He sits outside the mini-camp with hurt feelings. TURD And I don’t even know what’s going on. But you know what, I smell a turd. Hey, if it smells like shit everywhere, it’s probably you.

Diggs requested a trade from the Vikings earlier in 2020 and admitted later that year that he was not a fan of the team’s tough offense, led by their now former running back Dalvin Cook, and even felt duped by it.

‘[The Vikings] were kind of focused on a run-heavy (offense) at the time,” Diggs said during a Sunday Night Football movie that year.

“I didn’t know when I went in. I didn’t know it would be. They would only let me do so much. In my eyes it would not be in the interest of my career.’

Diggs has certainly enjoyed a more pass-happy offense at Buffalo, having his best three seasons away with the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen said he “didn’t sweat” when Diggs missed Tuesday’s practice for the first time.

‘Stef, he’s my husband… I fucking love him. He’s a brother of mine. This isn’t working, what we’re doing here, without him.

Head coach Sean McDermott struck a different note, initially saying he was “deeply concerned,” but was also effusive in his praise for Diggs.

“Sometimes you need to have conversations, you need communication and I appreciate that Stef is willing to communicate,” McDermott said.

“And you must understand that Stef is a valuable member of this football team. He is one of our captains and a leader. … And I love him.
