Mark Meadows pleads NOT GUILTY in Georgia – because the report claims he is about to attack his old boss
- Meadows is the latest to enter a written plea to avoid an on-camera arraignment
- The former White House chief of staff pleads not guilty as he also tries to get his case to federal court, where he believes he will get a fairer trial
Former Donald Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows pleaded not guilty to attempting to undermine Georgia’s 2020 election results as a report emerges that he may be preparing to attack his old boss.
Meadows was the last of 19 co-defendants, including the ex-president, to waive Wednesday’s arraignment, avoiding a performance that will be broadcast live on TV.
He pleaded not guilty to racketeering charges and accused him of trying to help Trump steal Joe Biden’s election victory.
Meadows is out on $100,000 bail and is fighting to have his case moved to federal court.
Attorneys for Trump’s top White House aide allege for once that he was acting in his official capacity as a government official in the aftermath of the 2020 election.

Meadows’ legal team also doesn’t believe he can get a fair trial with a Fulton County jury pool.
The lawsuit came hours after a report alleged that Meadows and other co-defendants could prepare to turn against Trump to save themselves.
Lawyers for Meadows have paid more attention to Trump’s prominent role in the effort to reverse the results Politics.
It suggests their legal strategy could focus on pinpointing Trump as the “primary driver.”
An example they used was the infamous January 2, 2021 phone call in which Trump asked Georgia’s Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to find “11,780” votes, which is exactly the amount he needed for a win over Joe Biden in the Peach State.
Meadows’ lawyers insist his role in the phone call was “minor,” even though he arranged it.
Trump and 18 other co-defendants, including Meadows, were indicted last month by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia on charges including racketeering related to the plan to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
Many co-defendants have already entered their not guilty pleas in writing to avoid arraignment on camera in Fulton County.
Among those charged in the indictment are several of the ex-president’s lawyers involved in their bid to land him a 2020 victory. This includes Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, John Eastman and Jenna Ellis.
