In a statement to DailyMail.com, Cuban claimed that the property’s value had dropped since he bought the luxury condo.
‘I bought it 25 years ago. When I wanted to sell it a few years ago, the value was more than halved,” he said. ‘In 2014 I received interest of 33 million. In 2018, the best offer I could get was less than half that.”

When Trump first ran for president in 2016, he received Cuban’s support.
But at one recent interview with podcaster Theo Von, Cuban, hinted at a conflict between him and the former president.
He said he thought Trump was “the best thing to happen in politics because he wasn’t a typical candidate” when he first ran but then “kind of grew out of it.”
When asked for further explanation, Cuban said that “every time you try to talk to Trump about details, it’s never worked.”
Still, Cuban admitted that he worked with the then-president when the COVID pandemic reached the United States in 2020.
“He asked me to come help during COVID,” Cuban said. ‘When he asked me to help [with] healthcare, I showed up because country over party.
“And I would do it again if he wins, but I hope he doesn’t.”
Cuban originally supported Donald Trump when he first ran for president in 2016, but has since become a strong supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris
The Shark Tank star has since become a strong supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris, reaching out to the Democratic candidate by phone and appearing at several of her rallies.
At an invitation-only event at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh last month, Cuban said Harris can “absolutely” win his home state of Pennsylvania, as he vowed to do “everything I can” to get Harris across the finish line in the must-win . swing state.
“I’m from Pittsburgh, so I meet and talk to a lot of people and, you know, take pictures and sign autographs and do whatever I need to do,” Cuban said of his role in pushing the vice president forward.
He has also made controversial comments on The View, suggesting that Trump does not surround himself with “intelligent women.”
“Donald Trump – you never see him around strong, intelligent women. It’s that simple,” the prominent Kamala Harris supporter said from one of his private jets in an interview with The View.
‘It’s just that simple. They are intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them.’

The comments sparked backlash from the former president’s inner circle, with even liberal host Joy Behar disagreeing with Cuban’s comments and saying even Stormy Daniels was “smart.”
The Trump campaign also seized on the comments as evidence to support its claim that Democrats, including Kamala Harris, despise voters who support the former president.
Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the comments were “extremely offensive to the thousands of women who work for President Trump, and the tens of millions of women who proudly voted for him.”
“Joe Biden called Trump supporters trash, and now Kamala’s top surrogate Mark Cuban insinuated that female Trump supporters are “weak and stupid,” she said.
The billionaire investor has since admitted he made a mistake on air.
‘It’s part of politics, it was my mistake and I apologized for it. I certainly didn’t say anything negative about anyone who supported Trump,” Cuban told DailyMail.com.
When asked what his wife of 22 years thought of his comments, he said, “Tiffany watched the entire interview and had no problem with it. She knew what I was trying to say.
“She also knows that if I do hundreds of interviews, there will be a few that I mess up. I’ve botched many more Mavs interviews that got me fined by the NBA. So she’s kind of used to it,” he added, referring to his time as owner of the Dallas Mavericks.
