Marjorie Taylor Greene slams MAGA darling Laura Loomer for saying Kamala Harris would make the White House ‘smell like curry’

  • MTG called it an “extremely racist” attack on Trump’s rival
  • Loomer, who traveled with Trump, accused Greene of exploiting him

A sharp rift emerged in Trump’s world after the debate when Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took Trump confidante Laura Loomer to task for an “extremely racist post,” denouncing her “hateful tone.”

The sharp attack from MAGA supporter Greene came after Trump adviser Loomer flew with Trump to the debate in Philadelphia, where Trump had advanced a conspiracy theory about migrants eating pets. Some analysts say this behavior seriously damaged his campaign.

Loomer, who has advanced a series of conspiracy theories, has also posted messages telling the truth about 9/11 and accompanied Trump to Ground Zero on Tuesday for 9/11 commemorations.

The Georgia lawmaker reposted a statement from Loomer on X, in which he said that if Vice President Kamala Harris wins, “the White House will smell like curry and White House speeches will be routed through a call center. The American people will only be able to provide feedback via a customer satisfaction survey at the end of the call that no one will understand.” That post is from September 8.

“This is horrific and extremely racist. It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should never be tolerated.

Loomer dismissed the attack on Harris’ Native American heritage, saying she was joking. Trump himself said he was fine with Harris’ racial identity after being asked in the debate about his earlier comment that she had “gone black.”

“I don’t care what she is. I don’t care. You make a big deal out of something. I don’t give a damn. Whatever she wants to be, it’s fine with me,” Trump said of Harris in the debate.

Loomer also calls herself a “proud Islamophobe” and “pro-white nationalist.” Trump supported her failed 2020 congressional campaign.

The attack from Greene, who is himself a lightning rod in the Republican House of Representatives, comes after several conservative commentators, including Brit Hume on Fox News Channel, said Harris won the debate and that Trump “repeatedly fell into the trap” of Harris’ attacks.

Green unleashed more attacks at the Capitol on Thursday. “I’m concerned about her rhetoric and her hateful tone. I think a lot of the comments that she’s made and how she’s attacked Republicans like me, a lot of other Republicans who are staunch supporters of President Trump, that’s a big problem, and that doesn’t represent MAGA as a whole,” she told DailyMail.com and a group of reporters amid the lingering fallout.

“I normally ignore her message, but someone sent me that message about Kamala Harris, and it really bothered me. And you know, my personality, everyone knows I’m outspoken, and I just thought it was time to address it. I think it’s wrong. We’re not a party of identity politics. We’re a party of all Americans,” the lawmaker said.

She called for Harris to be taken to task on inflation and the border, “and not to take them to task because they may not have children and they love their pets, and I don’t want to have anything to do with that.” That appeared to be a reference to both the pet-eating conspiracy Trump forwarded and to running mate J.D. Vance’s earlier comment about “childless cat ladies.”

Loomer accused Greene of infidelity and referred to a shocking story from DailyMail.com

“While you were busy having affairs, cheating, getting divorced, supporting @SpeakerMcCarthy and insider trading in Congress @MTG, I was doing a lot of the talking about the armed trial of President Trump.”

“I did all the heavy lifting while you wrote books and attacked Trump’s closest allies in an attempt to elevate yourself,” she wrote.

She continued to tweet about the split throughout the day on Thursday. “I stand by everything I said. I will not delete any tweets.”

Loomer also took issue with Trump’s comments about eating pets during the debate.

“They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. Time to send them back,” she posted.

Axios reported that Loomer “encouraged” Trump heading into the debate, even as advisers have advised him to push Harris on the economy and pair her with President Biden.

Greene herself was a thorn in the flesh, calling the January 6 suspects being held in a Washington DC jail “political prisoners.”
