Marjorie Taylor Greene is a “racist” with a “bleach blonde, poorly built, butch body,” a Democrat says after her “fake eyelashes” became the subject of heated arguments by boozing lawmakers in the Capitol

Firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is “racist,” a black Democratic member who was attacked by the Republican suspect from Georgia.

The shot comes after a particularly testy House meeting Thursday evening, as lawmakers were rumored to have been drinking before and during the long session.

Greene ridiculed Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett’s appearance at the hearing in which Attorney General Merrick Garland found himself in contempt of Congress.

“I don’t think you know what we’re here for,” Greene said during the hearing before turning her gaze to Crocketts’ appearance. “I think your fake eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”

“She’s racist,” Crockett fired back about Greene on Friday morning. “That’s them attacking me, basically as a black woman, and all they’re trying to do is be like racists. That is it. That’s it, it’s racism.’

Crockett even suggested that Greene’s racism is “absolutely” indicative of where the Republican party stands and that Greene could be raising money from her attacks on her appearance.

“She’ll probably raise money because the racists want to give it to her so badly.”

Crockett brought up that Greene has never criticized the appearance of any of her colleagues, such as Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., who was also at the chaotic hearing.

“Boebert has clippings in her hair,” Crockett said. “And Boebert sometimes wears eyelashes, too. It seems I don’t know. But she doesn’t attack her.’

During the hearing, Crockett hit back at Greene, asking the committee chairman if personal attacks such as “if anyone on this committee then starts talking about someone’s bleach blonde, poorly built, toned body” would violate the rules.

When pressed Friday on whether personal attacks are fair after the Georgia Republican made fun of her appearance, Crockett said, “I don’t think they were ever on the table.”

“I think we have someone who is not fit for Congress currently in office and who is not playing by the rules,” the Democrat said of Greene.

Progressive “Squad” member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who also got into an argument with Greene during the hearing, said Friday morning that Greene’s attack appeared to be racially motivated.

“It is not lost on me that Ms. Greene targeted one of the few Black women on the committee for some of the most egregious and disgusting comments and expected them to be ignored,” AOC said.

The battle erupted Thursday night when the House Oversight Committee voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a subpoena.

But the hearing quickly spiraled out of control, with representatives shooting at each other and shouting over each other.

Greene asked if “any of the Democrats on this committee employ Judge Merchan’s daughter?”

She was referring to Rep. Dan Goldman, DY, who has retained the services of a political consulting firm that employs the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who is presiding over Trump’s criminal trial in New York.

Crockett replied to Greene, “Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland.”

Greene then said, “I don’t think you know what you’re here for… I think your fake eyelashes are ruining what you’re reading.”

She was then interrupted by Speaker James Comer, R-Ky., who called for order.

He said the minor personal attacks during the hearing were “not appropriate.”

“I kept reminding everyone of the decorum and we will adhere to the decorum of the committee, and unfortunately there were a few who were not,” the lawmaker told DailyMail.com on Friday morning.

Both Crockett and AOC said Comer allowed the back and forth to continue for too long before excusing the committee to break so members could regain their composure.

Comer has said he couldn’t keep up with the members’ insults because he has two hearing aids and couldn’t make out what Greene, Crockett and AOC were saying at the time.

There were also allegations that some members drank booze before or during the late-night hearing.

“It was brought up by Ms. Stansbury, the distinguished lady from New Mexico, who said there were members drinking in the hearing room,” said the top Democrat on the committee, Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland.

Although of several members DailyMail.com spoke to who were present at the hearing, they could neither confirm nor deny the allegations of alcohol consumption.

“It certainly had much more of the atmosphere of a bar brawl than an actual hearing or markup session of the U.S. House of Representatives,” Raskin added.
