Mariska was so nervous when she first made eye contact with the “distractingly handsome” Peter (née Karl) that she ended up awkwardly calling him a “kraut” because he had lived in Germany for his first 10 years.
“On our first date, he asked me to go to church with him,” Hargitay said The Drew Barrymore Show last year.
