In the spirited BBC One drama Industry about graduate interns at an investment bank in the city, Marisa played an heiress with a penchant for drug-fueled romps.
And in reality, she was educated at the £44,235-a-year Roedean boarding school in East Sussex and her mother, Caroline Gruber, is a leading stage actress whose TV roles include Miss Washington in Grange Hill.
It follows reports that Marisa has emerged as a frontrunner to play Amy Winehouse in the biopic of her life, Back to Black.

According to Varietyshe is a star of HBO and BBC drama Industry, is in talks to play the singer.
They claim that the role was always meant to go to a newcomer rather than a pop star, and that there are other actresses in the mix.
In addition to Industry, she also starred in the Sky TV series COBRA and appears alongside James Norton in the crime thriller Rogue Agent.
Marisa has also been cast in the highly anticipated Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig.

She described her first day on set alongside Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as “totally surreal” — and revealed there’s a lot more in store for viewers.

The rising star grew up watching her mother work for television, film and the West End – but according to Marisa, this didn’t really encourage her to enter the world of show business.
Instead, she was kicked out of the industry because she didn’t think she had the nerves for it.
“I think I rebelled against it because I could see it took a lot of courage and it scared me quite a bit,” she said. Airmail.

Within weeks, she deferred her place at university and enrolled in the prestigious drama school, which required her to pass four auditions culminating in a full-day workshop.
In an interview with The Theater Workshopshe said: ‘For some reason I’ve always done my best at RADA and Guildhall. Something about the environment that both schools create… I found it easier to connect with myself and produce truthful work.’

When she moved to the capital to study, Marisa admitted that she was a house bird and was going to miss her mother’s cooking.
She said, “The only thing that stresses me out right now is my mom making her mashed potatoes so creamy because I can’t go too long without mashed potatoes.
