Macgregor, Brisbane: Two men charged after marijuana edibles found in home

Two men have been charged with various drug offenses after police discovered $95,000 worth of edible marijuana scattered around a home.

Police discovered the massive drug bust after raiding a property on Kessels Road in Macgregor in Brisbane’s south on January 15.

The stash contained 12.5 kilograms of marijuana butter, as well as edible cannabis cookies, gummies and brownies.

The marijuana butter had been stored in blocks in plastic bags and then stacked in a freezer, while a huge stash of marijuana cookies was discovered in a large cardboard box.

Several packages of dried marijuana were also found stored in plastic bags hidden in a closet.

Police estimate the drugs have a street value of $95,000.

Following the search, two men aged 31 and 32 from Sunnybank were arrested at the scene and charged.

The younger man was charged with 23 counts of supplying a dangerous drug, two counts of possessing a dangerous drug and possessing property suspected of being used in connection with the commission of an offence.

He is also charged with obstructing a police officer, possessing contaminated property, possessing utensils, dealing in dangerous drugs and manufacturing dangerous drugs.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrate Court on February 5.

The 32-year-old was charged with trafficking dangerous drugs, manufacturing dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing anything used in the commission of a crime, possessing contaminated property and possessing utensils.

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on February 2.
