On New Year's Eve, the 54-year-old music icon – who recently split from Bryan Tanaka – took to Instagram to reveal what she considered the “bad side” of her face.
The singer looked stunning in a sparkling, stone-covered silver dress as she posed in front of a group of balloons in her latest post.
She wrote in a caption to her 13.1 million followers: 'New year, new beginnings…taking a picture of my “bad side”!'
Carey smiled softly with the camera pointed toward the left side of her face, where she has a signature mole between her lips and jawline.

In December, Mariah's longtime boyfriend Bryan confirmed their split after a swirl of breakup rumors surfaced. Bryan, 40, posted an Instagram post officially announcing that he and the pop star were ending their relationship after seven years.
He claimed the split was “amicable” and “mutual” and expressed his “overwhelming sense of gratitude for the priceless time we shared.”
