Maria Thattil calls out internet trolls for ‘not doing their research’ on Palestine-Israel conflict… after model was slammed for not addressing the issue

Maria Tatil has called out internet trolls for firing her for not speaking out about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The former Miss Universe Australia shared a video on Instagram, explaining that she had received many messages from her followers asking her to share her thoughts on the war.

The model, 30, said she wanted to do her ‘research’ before speaking out and criticized people for not doing the same.

“I got a lot of direct messages when all this stuff started in the news. “A lot of people stay talking about this,” she began.

“When my friend died yesterday, someone replied to my story and insulted me for not talking about it when I was talking about it on TV that morning.”

She continued: “A lot of people ask whose side you’re on, but none of that leads to a productive discussion. So much of what we see on the internet is people who have done their research and continue to radicalize their thinking.’

Maria said she talked to her Jewish and Palestinian friends to understand the situation.

“I’ve been trying to talk to Jewish friends, people who are Palestinian and people who are connected to what’s going on to listen and learn from them,” she added.

“If you can, use your voice.” My parents raised me that way and didn’t let fear silence me. I admit I have a platform.’
