'I took bioidentical hormones (and still do), started dieting faster and faster but still managed to gain 15 pounds, tried Ozempic for a week but gave up after the constant nausea and vomiting, got rid of the wobble in my neck, tried Botox, fillers and lasers, face creams, cellulite machines, facial threading, teeth straightening and more.'
She continued, “I did copious amounts of therapy, including microdosing psilocybin, left Hollywood and all social media, and eventually moved to Paris.”
'That was October 2021. I then decided to really look into the PAUSE in menopause and look into the 7 tasks of mid-life that Carl Jung talked about.'
'Jung said that middle life is marked by disillusionment and depression. He said that in order to successfully transition to the second half of your life, you must complete these tasks. (More on that later).”
The star then revealed that she has learned to accept herself: “Now that I have finally emerged from my cocoon of self-reflection, I want to share my journey over the past two years to accept my new self. I hope these messages will help everyone transition into the 'second half of life' and inspire them not to avoid menopause, but to embrace it.”
'Here we go!' she closed the post and added the hashtags #mariasmenopause #menopause #secondhalfoflife #thepause.
She received a number of positive comments from her followers who thanked her for sharing her journey.
'Thank you!!!! It has been a difficult thing for many of us. I don't fight it. It is what it is. You look fantastic!!!!!'
