Margot Robbie ditches pink for Barbie world premiere in LA by recreating trumpet gown on 1960 doll

After wearing pink for the last few premieres, two-time Oscar nominee Margot Robbie opted for not-so-basic black to dazzle the star-studded world premiere held Sunday at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in downtown Los Angeles.

The Australian 33-year-old teamed up with her stylist Andrew Mukamal recreate the strapless trumpet dress, matching peeptoe kitten heels, opera gloves and diamond choker on the original 1960 Barbie “Solo in the Spotlight” doll.

There was even the same metallic sheen, stiff tulle hemline, and red rose embellishment on the frilly dress.

Hairstylist Bryce Scarlett coiffed Margot’s voluminous fake tail for the pink carpet ceremony.

Makeup artist Pati Dubroff threw the blue eyeshadow on the doll and instead brought out Robbie’s eyebrows, applied pink blush to her cheekbones and a bright red pout.

However, the Babylon star was reunited with Ken, aka her on-screen lead, two-time Oscar nominee Ryan Gosling.

The Canadian 42-year-old bared his chest in a pink Gucci suit over a lighter pink button-up shirt and white Oxfords selected by stylist Mark Avery.

Hairstylist Camilla Soole gave Ryan a new cut and style for the premiere, and groomer Shane Thomas made sure his complexion looked bronzed and flawless.

The former Mouseketeer reportedly “steals” the entire movie, thanks in part to his character performing an original song called I’m Just Ken.

Ryan told Britain’s GQ on May 31 that he once saw a Ken doll his two daughters were playing with “face down in the mud next to a crushed lemon” and thought to himself, “It was like the story of this man needs to be told, you know?’

Gosling took a moment to catch up with director Greta Gerwig in the chaos, who was wearing a Barbie pink skirt suit over a bow-tie blouse.
